"A mod born out of love for one of the best RTS's of our time. Composed primarily of community based feedback from the Scorched Earth Discord server. As well as communal assets and contributions, from PPM CnCModHeaven and friends directly.
The end goal is to create something I feel could have been a legitimate upgrade to Yuri's Revenge without altering the gameplay beyond recognition whilst fixing the awful bugs and imbalances and adding the many new extensions, features to give it fresh look. And hopefully this mod achieves that."

HOW TO INSTALL (Requires an already-installed Yuri's Revenge):
1. Extract YurisRevengeance0-9.zip to a folder.
2. Copy these files from your Yuri's Revenge Folder to the mod folder

-ra2md.mix
-ra2.mix
-movies02.mix
-movies01.mix
-movmd03.mix
3. To play the game, run Yuri's-Revengeance.exe
4. For troubleshooting, join the Discord Server: discord.gg/BGZmmPsnCw

I really like the aircraft patrol feature, they are always such a pain to control in large numbers to effectively deal with the enemy.
but since the AI is smarter i think that will be a problem more than help

You're tryna tell me you put a MARV in RA2? One word: YES
Not the first mod to do so, Tiberium Crisis also have MARV in RA2, along with Redeemer and Hexapod. PLUS Mastodon. Pretty much both C&C 3 and C&C 4 gameplay in RA2, with an original campaign of what would C&C 4 story is like if EA actually invested time into it, about how Scrin came back and launched a full scale invasion.
Also has RA2 factions too, but unbalanced compared to the Tiberium Universe factions, but Yuri vs Traveler-59 is a fun match to play regardless. It looks pretty ironic to see a Cultist mind controlling a Yuri Floating Disk. It is all fun and games for Yuri until the REAL aliens shows up

I made the MARV voxel some time ago, won a 2nd place in a competion on ppmsite, glad to see it being put to use! Heck, I should probably go over the old files if there's something forgotten... it's been years since I created anything for RA2 mods.

This mod put the MARV, an overlord that has dual autocannons and the RA3 Apocalypse grinding machine into this game
Guan Yu is the name of the dual autocannon overlord (Contra 009 mod)
Yuri;s unique unit is too weak though. Since it is melee it is super weak and also the damage output is very weak, those 2 combined makes it very weak
@@drakZes should've made it more durable since it attacks melee.. also it would be better too if it has garrison features. Just like the soviet and allied.

It is a mod that does not need to be complete to be good, it just improves the original expansion while respecting its essence, I will try it when I can

The epic unit for Yuri seems incredibly underwhelming compared to the other two. :\
yeah it's more of a bullet sponge that can act as utility unit that can grind allies for cash rather than sending mind controlled units home to grinder
@@ScorchedEarthPH i recommend buff it. Give ability to regen portion of HP after kill using grinder. Dat would be great
@@MuhdAriff-kv5zn Yuri is op at vanilla. Yuri's super unit was made underwhelming to provide the optimal balance in game
but if you gave it the master mind ability with… double the slots, it would be balanced!

I think the Yuri epic unit is good enough as is, just buff the HP by like 3x and make it self-healing to compensate for range

It seems we are blessed with another C&C mod, and it looks like less of a "transformative" or "overhaul" mod and more of an "improvement" mod - doesn't change the core of the game, and instead adds visual, QoL and AI improvements, while sprinkling some shiny new units that mostly fit into the already established game balance. Overall, it seems very promising, I'll most certainly try it out!
It really does feel like we are experiencing something of a "C&C Renaissance" in recent years. Or have we perhaps seen nothing yet? Ah well, in any case, may the battlefield be expanded forever more.

There was an old mod that allowed players to control both soviet and american units in the training gamemode. I can't rightly remember its name or if it was meant for Red Alert 2 or Yuri's Revenge, but I do remember that it had extra units, perhaps it had a custom campaign. What I do know for sure is that the training missions were heavily altered. Would you happen to know it and if yes, would you make a video on it ?
I think thats part of the Deezire mod for Red Alert 2 where in the training campaign, the third mission is a map where you can control both Allied and Soviet bases and start messing around with it.
I'll look into it and see if it's interesting enough

EDIT: I Haven't played Generals or Contra in quite a while, from what I can tell it looks like the Gyan Yu replaced the Shaitan, they are both Gattling supertanks
@@chunkblaster Oh shit you're right! In Contra 007 China tank general did have the Shaitan. The Guan Yu replaced that and the two are completely different vehicles.
And now in Contra 009 GLA demo general has the Shaitan cannon which is a defensive structure. That's pretty cool tbh!

So the superunits are the a proto-MARV for th eallies (makes sense), a gatling-Mammoth for the Soviets (oh hell yea) and a mobile Grinder for Yuri (that seems a bit underwhelming)?
