I bet D rank players on iccup probably could beat pro gamers in 2000-2001 idk exactly how good they were but im sure that in general the iccup players could beat the pro gamers from 2002-2004 possibly and the top iccup gamers could beat the pro gamers from 1 or 2 years ago.

I don't know about that. They played a different game, and exploited balance issues and got Blizzard to release many updates for balance tweaks. Asking those players to play with the current Broodwars would be unfair. Asking current players to play old version would also be unfair. Of course many new techniques were developed by those players over the years. It's like comparing today's cars to the Ford T Model. Today's cars are much better, but you couldn't have built one in 1908.
