They have way better visibility to the cutting edge because of sitting in the middle and a bit smoother ride. The elevator chains are adjusted with a grease gun, just like a track adjuster does and all the idler wheels on the elevator are sealed for life so there are a heap less grease points on them. I have operated both 613 & 412, would take the 412 before the 613 any day. Was working along side a 623 G the other day and Cat still use their antiquated chain adjustment system on it. IH have had their grease adjuster since they first came out in 1966.

Not sure really. I've never ran a dresser. This one is so old I don't think it could compete with one of the newer cats
Paddle scrapers usually pick up the looser shit the bigger cat scrapers make actual cuts
