@@Gabriel_the_Shemite Yes, although I believe it’s also saying that the unrepentant sins themselves should be taken as a warning of judgment to come, and the inhabitants of the land should turn from their sin if they don’t want to suffer the inevitable consequences of their wickedness. “When I bring the sword (judgment) upon a land” whether it be tornadoes or foreign enemy, or any other judgment; for there is no calamity that comes upon a people, but by the permission of the Lord.

This is just my opinion, but the word watchman is misused & abused by modern professing Christians in the same manner that the words prophet and apostle are. The real watchmen don’t claim to be one. It seems to sort of present a case that these advances in technology are all good, but of course that is not true. There is always a downside. The first two you describe sounds like Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. Ian Brady wrote a book in prison called The Gates of Janus. Never got the meaning of this odd title.

The challenge for this day is to invest our trust in Jesus and not evil. If we invested as much in the Lord and His Word and His promises as we do in the evil of our day, things would start changing. Our hard hearts are making a straight path for evil. We don’t understand what faith means, we don’t understand what believe means. We sit in Sunday school and have long discussions about how evil the world is, and don’t realize that we’re putting faith in that evil by exalting it ourselves. I’ve been so convicted of this. Yes, our souls are being tormented by this present wickedness but what do we trust in?
Read the Word, meditate on the Word! Confess the Word, Put action into doing the Word! Love issues from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith!

I agree, God is in complete control. There is no “good verses evil” in the sense that there is a separate and EQUAL entity that God fights against. No, God is ALMIGHTY, and absolutely nothing happens without his sovereign permission. “I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.” Yes, it is the evil of punishment, not sin, for God did not create sin - He is the author of all that is true, holy, good and righteous. Evil and error came into this world by His permission, through the willful apostacy of his creatures, but evil is restrained yet allowed and permitted by God for His righteous purposes. And sadly, I must agree that this nation is so fully engrossed in evil and wrongdoing, that we are actually blessed that merciful God has allowed us to remain as a functioning nation this long. It is a testament to his great mercy and long-suffering toward us. But at this point it appears that it would be an almost incomprehensible miracle if God were to spare us now. If you are not saved, I would implore you to get on your face and seek Jesus, for I believe our time is short, and things will only get worse on this earth from here forward.

I have read the story of balaam and balak in the ot when they wanted to curse Isreal. And after several failed attempts, balaam tells the amorite King to let their sons and daughters marry into Isreal and that they would introduce their customs into Isreal and it would defile them. This is the problem with christian preachers. They take a verse here and there and try to tie them together to create a sermon with instead of teaching the scriptures in context as they are supposed to be taught. This is how they come up with their theory that if you do not tithe 10% of your paycheck to their church you are cursed.
From my long experience, there is just as much evil lurking in the countryside as there is in the cities. I've lived in both and raised my children in both. The only difference is there are less people in the country and things are hidden.

Our country is falling apart because we have rid ourselves of the law as given to us. As Christians we have done away with the law and the Spirit has done away with us. We have done away with Sabbath, we have done away with the Feast Days, We pick and choose what laws we with to keep and enforce. Deny Him and He will deny you. This is not a mystery guys.

Better way is that the Lord can neither do nor look upon evil....He allows evil...but is not the one Doing evil (that is, if Evil is described as sin). Mankind's sin nature being manipulated by the enemy does evil. Like you said, the Lord holds back the ferocious dog....and restrains it for the sake of His Body. As evidenced by all the melted and destroyed cities throughout the earth...the Lord has in the past let men do what they do naturally...and God has judged them for it.

The verse you quoted is about Cyrus...who God is going to use to bring judgement upon other nations...Evil in this sense is Bad tidings, war, weather catastophe...etc...These are ways God brings judgement. But, the Lord will have no part in the wickedness of sin...the horrible darkeness of the filthy enemy. If one sin is applied to our Father...we are doomed! There IS NO DARKNESS IN HIM...ever...he dwelleth in unapproachable light and is light...The Lord makes men...and men make choices...How could God righteously judge a wicked earth...if he were wicked himself? The meaning of EVIL must be understood in its CONTEXT. (Notice the Magnificent King James Bible...1:13 for Both verses)

I used to watch a channel here on TH-cam that has log since been deleted during the purge period when many people lost their channels.The guy said he was a born again, which is neither here nor there to me as far as my watching the video, but I sent a couple of these links to somebody, and this channel was deleted so thoroughly that if I click on on of these links, you will see a black TH-cam screen and it will say "this video does not exist". The guy did a breakdown of all the symbolism on the Abrahamic Accords Commemorative coin signed by Donald Trump. Very interesting, the most thorough breakdown of this symbology I've seen yet. The guy said that Donald Trump was a member of the Ba'Hai faith, which just sounded bizarre. I had to file that under uncorroborated information,, but he did say that this BaHai religion, which is a modern religion that I don't quite understand, has a massive temple and extensive park in Haifa Israel. This I was able to confirm. They must have a lot of money, whoever these BaHai are.
Remember, YAH said that we should fear him. That we should be caused of that fear to walk upright in righteousness before him. Though the Israelites of the Exodus had a fear of him, it was surpassed by the sin of unbelief. Many great deceptions that we are currently under will come to light and long held beliefs challenged by TRUTH. Remember to consult The Most High in ALL things that he might direct your path.
