I also love Nightmare Before Christmas. That's how I found VoicePlay, finding their Halloween-themed songs and Geoff Castellucci's "Monster Mash". Their specialty is theatrical, dramatic performances; you should react to "The Dragonborn Comes Skyrim", "My Mother Told Me", "Warriors", and "Hoist The Colors".
VoicePlay has done 2 other songs from Nightmare Before Christmas. Layne Stein (their beatboxer and arranger of these songs) is also a big fan. Layne and Tony Wakim (former VoicePlay baritone) own Pattycake Productions and also produce videos. You might want to react to one from their Villains Lair series, Oogie’s Boogie. It features an original song sung by Oogie Boogie. There is a small bit of dialogue at the beginning and the end, but I think you’d like it!

I loved your reaction. It’s obvious that you really enjoy the movie. They re-interpreted it in a whole new way and it’s just as delightful as the original. Sandy Claws was played by the bassist brother-in-law and voiced by Eli the bald dude in red. That last fit for Jeff goes from really high down to the subterranean levels really through a lot of reactors especially when it first came out. People hadn’t really done subharmonics in a commercial video before so it made quite an impact. The second video took them about 14 hours to film as they had to stop nine times for a costume and make up changes. That last part where Eli as mayor is holding those notes I just find amazing.
I've never seen the movie, but it doesn't matter, because it's Voiceplay! They are absolutely wonderful. My favorite cover from Nightmare Before Christmas is the one they did of What's This? They have had changes in personell in the last three years. The big blue tenor, Earl Elkins Jr, left for personal reasons early in 2020 after 23 years with them. Wolfman, J None, left the same year because he was recruited by the US Navy to sing with them. They have replaced J with Cesar de la Rosa, you will see him in their newer works. They are currently using featured artists to make up the fifth position. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff!
