Nice to hear the history of that great barn and what Knott's berry farm has done to help preserve history 🏆🇺🇸

My dad took myself and my brother to a wrestling match at Jeffrey’s barn when it was in Burbank. I remember it to this day

Another great history lesson, San Diego Steve! I am glad the barn was saved and preserved at Knott's Berry Farm. Too bad they painted over the original large signage, but at least there is that little sign. Word of the Day: Pugilist

They have a hidden display on the inside of the barn, I saw last night. There’s a display case that holds an actual bell from one of his champion fights, a replica ticket and an old punching bag.

They just added it recently. Was nice to see it when I went this past summer.

Was there anything in the Wilderness Dance Hall between the years it was moved to Knott's and the present time? Or was it always just sitting empty?

There was a labor union building there before it eventually became a grocery store parking lot.

As a kid growing up 15 miles from Knotts we use to ride our bikes there in late 50's/early 60;s when it was free to get in. The barn back then was a museum dedicated to Jim Jefferies and had pictures of him and ariticle of him and other boxers of his era on the walls. I always loved going in there and reading the papers/articles on him that were numerous.
