great vid. I am not sure I thought either the Gibson or the Epi sounded very good, but I do agree I liked the Chibson better overall. With that said, I am not sure they are worth it. Yes a real Gibson costs a lot more, but that value doesnt evaporate like it will on a Chibson. I think for folks that really like to mod guitars and have spare parts hanging around this is a great option. I am not loaded, but for me, once I hear a guitar that sounds better I just cant settle for the lesser one. I would need to hear this go up against a real Gibson before I could say whether this is a decent guitar.
Well done man, that was fun to watch :) You can already hear the improvement that bridge hardware made when you strummed it unplugged. Hooray for Explorer love!
I've owned over 20 Chibsons now. They quality continues to improve. The main issues I've had with the Explorers and Flying V Chibsons is that the necks have felt way too chunky. What is the neck profile on this one? Can you share which seller you got it from, please.
These chibsons are priced ridiculously low for the build quality and look which are 99% identical to Gibson. The electronics are terrible. That’s the only thing that needs to be changed, the pick ups but that’s no more than $100-$150 to make it sound almost as good as the real thing
@@chipchiperson679 the electronics are usually fine it’s just the pickups and tuners. Maybe the bridge. But you even find some with decent pickups too.
Are there any germans that ordered any chibson or CHE-SP ? Im not sure if i can order something like this without getting sued for it by the german gouverment
Your middle knob isn't placed correctly. It is slightly too close to the lower tone making it too far from the top volume. Typical chibson workmanship and something I'd have to correct. I cannot unsee it!
Some of you don't seem to understand they are not meant to be perfect replicas. There are like little things here or there that are slightly off that's on purpose now. Because they don't want any backlash. But at first glance it's obvious what they are supposed to replicate. Awhile back they just didn't know now there are many different builders over seas that are making really good guitars.
ohhh god. I´m a cheap cork sniffer. does it sound like african mahogany acustically? I just sell almost 20 guitars made out of luan, meranti, okoume and I couldn´t take how muddy they where even with brass saddles, aluminium stoptail and a boe nut... I currently buy "premium" china diy kits but its only wood. Did a les paul custom that sounds great but not that loud and Pr custom 22 with a 4a maple cap (450 only the wood) that blows all of my guitars.
Very cool, fuck the assholes that tell you what to do with your money. As long as its not sold as a Gibson and you dont seem to be that kind of guy. Im a bass player that likes to play guitar for my own enjoyment. Also have been getting into modding guitars and istead of DiMarzio and Seamore Duncan and all those expensive pups. i just got a pair of Tone Rider Pups to put in an Epiphone Les Paul. Im going to like and sub your channel, definitely dig your content.
@@TheMixWithABD ...and that's the main problem with cheap knockoffs. They're made cheap with very cheap production. Then they're fitted with the cheapest available hardware. It doesn't really matter what you do to them. It'll just be a sub-quality built guitar with upgraded hardware
Is there a specific supplier you got the guitar from that I can check out?

Hi…nice video…can share the link for the seller? Many thanks
who is the builder,,, contact info?
Dang that pickup routing looks cleaner than a Gibson. Lol
No guitar should cost thousands of dollars. Gibson is way overpriced. Look at the customs. No thank you.
Thanks for the video! I’ll definitely check out Tonerider 🎸👍

@@CrazyGuitarGuy damn. Is that really I thing?
What tube amp are you using?
can you put up a link?
Can you give imfo on the builder
how long did it take to come in? I ordered a silverburst on ebay and they told me it would be like a month and a half
Did it show up? How's the quality of the guitar?

@@chucklee347 you don't understand how silly and lame you sound
"chibson workmanship" lmao Gibson misaligns tuners and knobs all day
I couldn't tell from the video, did you change the bridge to ABR-1?
Changed it to a Guyker tune-o-matic which is another Chinese manufacture. They make great stuff
Please tell us who from Aliexpress sold you this guitar so we can buy from them
I found a Chibson merchant who sells the Explorers without the Gibson logo. I may jump.
You can ask many many sellers and they’ll do that for you
i think the shape little bit different, the horn like slightly bigger..?
edit : next time i will finish the video ,then make a comment .
WHAT ABOUT THE AWFUL SWITCH ????? IMPORTANT PART FOR GOOD SOUND !!!!
Are the Epi pickups the Gibson Burstbuckers? The new Epi Explorers are like $1300. I'm guessing yours is older. But I hate gibson humbuckers.
The epi pickups are epi burstbuckers, or pro buckers? Not Gibson. Idk they’re not good. lol

the quality is so good that you want to change practically all the hardware ...lol
It was $280. That cost for the main bones of the guitar is more than worth it.
