I was at this game as well, from Canada. I didn't know what to expect, I wasn't a football fan by any means, but love sports all the same. North American sports can't even compare, I haven't missed an Inter game on TV since! One of the most insane experiences of my life, awesome that you got to experience it with your son

For the ones not following football this game was in september, but Inter won the return leg as well securing that beatiful second star and doing it during the derby was amazing and it will remain in history, the party started on the 22nd of april and it's not over yet, so the timing of this video is perfect

I watched this video several time, from the beginning to the end with every single second. I was there in May to witness the ceremony of league champion for last season, I was shocked as well when the first time I stepped into the stadium which was a moment I dreamed many many times during the past 20 years. My son is too young to travel with me for such long distance from China to Italia, but I hope some day he will join me for the cherish, just like you and Denzie. Cheers.

As an Italian born in Milano and grown up in the US (Stamford, CONN) I've been to like 18-20 Derbies at least, probably more
It's something different, the entire city speaks about nothing else for about 10 days before and after the match
Many supporters don't show up at school or work for a couple of days if their team looses to avoid the apposing fans mocking them
In the 1930s when mustache were a must for any male the supporters of Inter/milan would shave theirs if their team lost 🤭
Oh and it's obviously FOOT-BALL, the sport you play kicking the BALL with your FEET...Americans should get over it an call their padded version of Rugby "Hand Eggball" or something 🤷♂️

this is late and dont know if you will see this but this is an awesome video. As an American Inter fan who started liking and watching soccer after the 2022 World Cup, it really put some perspective into just how much this rivalry means to the fans, and what attending a derby is really like. one day i hope to get to one myself

What a late post was legit getting ready to go to sleep when I saw a notification on my phone and saw New Zealand family and had to watch it I’m not really a soccer fan but seeing the atmosphere of the stadium was crazy you may have just added attending a game to my bucket list in the future

Wow. Loved seeing this. Makes me remember my first calcio game a Firenze vs Napoli. Growing up in Canada with hockey, I thought we were passionate and loud at our games but nothing like that first game experience in Firenze. It was a memory I’ll never forget.
Now living in Portland with MLS soccer, we do have sold out games and the stadium capacity is 25,000 so it gets ripping loud. The crowd stands almost the entire game and we have what we call the Timbers Army which leads the crowd in all the songs, pretty much constant singing the whole game. Definitely the closest experience to my Firenze days. So glad you could share that experience with Denz AND with us. Thank you! ❤
San Siro capacity is around 80000 people, and the fans here are way louder than in Canada, u should try an Inter game too.

At 1:36, the expression on Denzy's face says it all. I must have looked the same the first time my father took me to San Siro to see an Inter match when I was 5 (that is, 55 years ago!). I had it a bit easier, since at that time I was living 15 minutes away from San Siro (walking!). I stopped the video to write this comment, now I am going to enjoy the rest. It is an honour to have tifosi living as far as New Zealand and as nice as you guys are. I hope to be able to go and see an All Blacks match in Wellington one day.

As an American who does not appreciate soccer in the least, the fan enthusiasm is undeniable! I frequently stay at a hotel in Milan near the stadium for work and can hear the crowd singing from a mile away. I’m sure I would thoroughly enjoy being at a match in person!❤
