I think Acapulco will regain its legendary nobility as a tourist destination. Remember all the movie stars had a pied a terre in Acapulco.

great that someone took the effort to step in where the tourism folk have missed the mark. The weather is dependably fanstastic, even an occasional evening shower is another freshing treat. Si se puede.

1962 to 2011 beautiful Acapulco. My second home. Earthquakes were the deal breakers on retiring there in the Caleta area.💯😊❤️💕🇺🇸

1962-2012 was my time of visiting this beautiful city, but earthquakes and hurricanes were too much.
    I love the Caleta area.

Does anyone notice how empty the beaches are? Acapulco was my favorite place in the world...but there were many tourists and locals from Mexico City on the beaches and in the restaurants, etc. Looks like a ghost town to me now!

Does anyone notice the lack of crowds and the scarcity of people not only at the beaches but also at eating spots in the city. People ain't stupid...they will go somewhere else where it's safer!

Too bad that the drug cartel, corruption and violent crime has wrecked what was once a desired tourist destination. We were frequent visitors between 1971 and 1980.
