  • This video will show you Why I Stopped Smoking Weed and How it changed my life...
This video, I'm going to be sharing with you why I stopped smoking weed or marijuana, how I did it, and how it's absolutely transformed my life since I've done so. Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video I'm going to be sharing with you the why I quit smoking marijuana and how I did it and how it changed my life and baby. A perspective that you haven't heard before. Now, first off, let me say with this that I quit back in 2012, so it's been a while now, but I feel like I want to make this video because there's a perspective that I have with it that I think is a little bit different than you've heard of other people that may have talked about the same thing, how they used to do it and how they stopped doing it.
First off, let me say, you know, I live in Vegas. It's legal here, is legal becoming more and more legal other places. I'm not in any way saying that weed is bad or marijuana is bad. The question is not whether it's bad or good, I think the question is is isn't efficient and does it work for you? Because for a long time I was smoking and just to give you a little bit of a background on it, I used to have what is called Adhd, which means I was taking adderall so that I could focus which would like really help me focus, but the side effects of adderall where I couldn't eat very much and I couldn't sleep very much, so I took adderall for years. I worked a sales commission job at the time selling women's shoes and I remember I would take that during the day at work.
I'd be very focused. I would make a lot of money and then I would go home and at the end of the night it was. It would have trouble sleeping and I have trouble eating well. What takes care of that? Well, weed is something that when you do it enhances your appetite and it also enhances being able to sleep good. So what I would do is during the day I would take adderall. I would make money at work selling women's shoes at Nordstrom's here in Las Vegas and I would come home at night and then what I would do is I would smoke so that I could kind of wind down and get to a place to where I could eat and I could sleep. And I did that for a long for, for probably a year and a half, two years very consistently. And it worked at the time. However, one of the things I realized was that I felt like I felt like I was dependent on it as dependent on both the adderall and that of the weed.
And I remember just starting to get little signs. It was almost like little signs that there was other ways to go about this. And there was other ways that I could balance out my energy. And I remember I actually came across and found a, a, a, a research article on meditation and the powerful effects of meditation, how meditation can balance out the hormones. Um, and I was like, oh, that's cool because it's adderall is making me feel more dopamine. But then I'm crashing and I don't feel as good, and meditation is something I can do that I can balance myself out and there's only positive side effects, then why wouldn't I try that? So the idea was I'm going to try meditation. So what I did is I started meditating and at first I thought it was kind of annoying to meditate. I remember sitting down and a.
What I did is I started at a candle flame because I read that somewhere. If you started a candle flame, it keeps the eyes focused on one point. And when your eyes are focused on one point, your eyes aren't moving around. If you've ever heard that saying that when your eyes wander, your mind wanders. It's like every time your eyes shift, you have a new point of stimulus. So if you keep it focused on one point and it becomes much easier to focus. So what I did is I focused on that candle flame, that one point, and then the first day or two that I decided to learn meditation, there wasn't a huge difference because I was still trying to control my mind. I was like, can't think negative thoughts. This is also shortly after I learned that I learned that have the secrets and the power of it.
I was really starting to apply it in my life, which is like the law of attraction. So what I was thinking negative thoughts as I can't think negative thoughts. I was trying to block them out because I didn't want to manifest something bad, but what I did is a. by the third day I read somewhere and I just had this feeling that if I would just observe my thoughts and allow them to be there, that that would change a lot, that I would get a completely different result. And I remember that I made this choice...

Dirk Fade hey man I grew weed from the age of 16 to 24. I grew some of the rarest and most fire strains that you can get. There’s pretty much nothing better than what I was growing. I had absolute highest cleanest best weed. I had to quit smoking at 24 and to offset the weed cravings I started working out every day. My life changed completely I became the highest version of myself. My emotional intelligence went through. Stop smoking now. Don’t follow the crowd you will achieve massive success in your life. It’s rare for people to be sober. Just being sober you’re already ahead of 70% of the competition.

All you people change your life's too easily, watch a certain video and already wanna change your life lmao. I mean if you're a shitty person that sees cannabis as a drug and that's all you do, that's you being shitty, but there's many people that use cannabis on a regular basis and have good careers, families, etc, so most of the time is the person being a P.O.S not the plant. But yeah I definitely agree about you staying away from it cause I feel the plant is meant for wiser people. Those who see it as a drug shouldn't use it, stick to your pharmaceuticals bro.

Shrooms cured my addiction to weed (and my anxiety as well). I was addicted to weed and didn't even realize it. Took Golden Teacher variety mushrooms, and once they hit, I just started talking and saying so much stuff about what I was doing wrong in my life. I was pretty much my own therapist for 5 hours, and everything that I was saying was true. It was a spiritual awakening for me, and very eye opening. I now have a completely new outlook on life, and I don't need any drugs (alcohol included) anymore.

1 - Meditation (listen to frequencies while meditating 396 is a good one)

I got to a point where I would smoke and not even be excited about it, disappointed in myself even... Because i knew that i would feel less happy/energetic/actualized for the next day or so. Eventually i just stopped and I haven't looked back. (Going on 3 months completely sober and have never been happier!)

    I have quite different perspective.
Weed won’t ever lower your vibrations - unless you associated bad emotions to smoking weed. Just like everything in the life.
I know plenty of people who are on very, very high vibration and they are smoking weed. BUT.
Marijuana is a medicine - and you need to use it as a medicine. If you over do it - it can have negative side effects..
So the moderation is the key. Intention is the key. And trust me brother - weed can elevate you to very high state of being. Anyone who is not enlightened can benefit from occasional intentional smoking.
The plants are here to teach us. Use them as a teachers and be thankful for them.
For me - when I smoke weed I always get to know more than I knew before. And it could be because I have associated weed with my first eye opening - awakening moment in my life.
Weed can be truly life changing if you know how to work with it. Peace ✌🏻

Cole Adams Music Congratulations for 8 years being sober!
That’s very interesting- people usually don’t tend to be aggressive on weed. Maybe try to set up intention next time. It seriously makes a difference. Or even smoking CBD plants could relieve your pain.
BUT I have a good news for you - unless you tried it already. There is legit, natural and very consistent cure for chronic pain. Many people have reversed it.
Search on google for Wim Hof and then Wim Hof technique. This method cured a lot of people from chronic pain and a lot of autoimmune conditions. It’s a set of breathing techniques and cold exposure. Check it out, I think you will be amazed 🙂

I’ve been smoking for a few years now but I’ve recently been wanting to stop to become a happier healthier person, this shit has made me believe it’s helped me so much when it’s really just brought me down and held me from doing what I love and I realize it’s time to quit as well

First of all thanks Aaron for your honesty! I recognize the pattern in your story. I drank for the last 10 years almost every evening 4-6 beers and 1-2 joints. I felt stuck and came from a long way. Lived with feelings of shame, guilt and fear every day. At the surface I looked fine because i could mask it very well with my outgoing personality. Now I'm 30 and trying to change my ways. I took matters in my own hands and started with a six week plan. I haven't had a beer in six weeks and are now allowed by myself to drink only when going out with friends. I feel the vibrance that you discribe. It's making me restless, a feeling that i have to turn into action. At the moment I'm at day 2 of quiting with weed. That's how i found your video, i Needed motivation.
It's a big reaction but I know there are more people that are in the same situation. I felt stuck in live, I was doing 'okay'. But 'okay' wasn't enough for me. I needed to hit rock bottom in order to climb back up. And yes i hit rockbottom about two years ago... Dropped out of college, burn out, stuck in a viscious circle of negative feelings. And than... I had to drop de charade, the mask. And when I started to be honest about my problems and learned to talk about them. I felt more honest to myself and the people around me. It was a big relief and i discovered that my problems had the right to be there.
The thing I learned and can give as an advice, If you want to quit, quit. No matter what your enviroment says. Some people will be supportive, some will laugh. But If you feel you took a wrong turn in life by using. You keep living with guilt. And guilt is a very destructive feeling. I know there is a chance i can fall back in my old ways, thats why i write short memoires of the day every evening. So I can rely on them when i forget why i do it this way. Kinda like your meditation example. Anyway I wanted to thank you in this comment but all of a sudden i could't stop typing. To everyone out there dealing with the same stuff. I lost my uncle recently from a heartattack. It had nothing to do with drugs but still it made me very consience of life. Our time is limited on this little blue ball and do you really want to waste it away by being high or tipsy every day? Very well its 22.00 coffeeshops closed up. I made it!

I'm now at day 35 of not smoking, i feel better now than in years. I'm having clear thoughts and the way that i think is the way i felt ten years ago. My confidence grows and Im better in my work. I feel I can place my emotions and thoughts in a better perspective. Must say it's been a struggle... sleepless nights in week 2,3,4 that was the hardest part. Lots of anger en conflict at work. But since this week i slept better, go to the gym 3 times a week and the people around me, also nice women react differently to me, in a good way! XD Also im starting to see chances and opportunities again, my ambition seems to come back too.

I also stopped smoking weed about a year ago. It really changed my perception. I used to sit all day smoking, eating, my life was exactly the same all that time. I already felt like my time wasted. Dear people, there is a way out of the box, believe me there is. Since I don't smoke weed I've started working more on the things I love, I've got my first IT projects to work on, I can be happy without it, I can see life from conscious perception, I eat less and gain less weight. Don't waste your time. Life is one, you never know which day will be the last, make it a perfect and conscious day. There is a lot of benefits out there.

    • @GroundbreakGames
      @GroundbreakGames 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Know the difference between Sativa and Indica, as they are quite opposite. If you don't like feeling anxious or sped up from Cannabis, you need to search out Indica only strains or Indica dominant hybrids. If you experience lack of motivation and energy from smoking, you want to try a Sativa Dominant strain. Notice the differences, then adjust your hyrbrid % one way or the other to find the right strain for you.

I smoke after work too not everyday but most, when I run out of weed I’ll start getting an urge to buy more when I get that urge I take a brake completely ( a month or two) cos when I start depending on it like that I know that’s an issue, i havent smoked in weeks and I do want to but I don’t I want to stop completely. Plus the urge to smoke only lasts 2/3 days so people that say weed is addictive are wrong. Where as cigarettes I could never just go cold turkey that’ll take WORK

    • @plukke_b2048
      @plukke_b2048 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Just make sure the weed isn't the main resource for your body's dopamines and all ither feel good stuff. It is addictive in the sense that when you get your dopamine(happyfeeling) from weed you will not notice the happyfeeling from anything anymore or way less wich trains your brain you dont need all that other stuff to be happy and thus become completely addicted to weed. What i will say however when you stop , and you do enough other normal things wich give you these dopamines ,the addiction will go away fast. You cant be addicted to weed but you can be addicted to the easy way of releasing dopamine, replace it with s9metjing else that creates dopamine and you'll be fine

There were things in this world, probably past lives too that I needed to face. Any kind of drug just numbs the pain instead of dealing with the issue.

I started smoking in 1977, at 14, when my best friend invited me to camp out with his older brother at a lake. I've been nine days without smoking and two day's ago or on Saturday night I went out to a local club and had a much better time than usual. Weed dulls your senses, especially dro, and slows your mind down. I noticed Saturday night that I was much more sociable with the people and it made me feel actually good to see just how much weed was holding me back from my full potential. No red eyed, tired look and I had so much more energy and no nervous feelings. I'm having to walk around 5 miles a day now to burn off all the new found energy to be able to sleep well, but I'm determined to give it up for good!

We have neighbors who smoke a lot of weed and I am so sensitive to even the smell of it. It triggers my allergies and gives me awful headaches. I hate the fact that now that it’s more common people are losing their common sense and smoke it around kids.

Ive smoked everyday and a lot of it since i was 15 and I am 20 now. Although i've kept all A's in college it was still not allowing me to do everything i wanted to do. Like when you're in a dream and trying to fly away but you can't fly, that is how i felt when i knew i had to do something as simple as making a doctors appointment or going online to sign up for something. I think weed is okay for people who can handle it every once in a while but my personality was right when i would wake up i would smoke a bunch to block any type of pain or feeling and just mindlessly go through the day without enduring anything bc i didn't want to actually deal with anything, i thought it was better to just be in a a sort of fog where I didn't really remember anything. If i got mad or irritated at something all I could think about is how i needed to smoke to get rid of the feeling. I would always say I needed to quit and then i would be like okay i'm going to quit when i finish this batch and then when i had about a gram left i would get really anxious and nervous thinking about not having any to smoke and would quickly get more. A few days ago i was high as fuck at 12:30 in the morning writing in my journal about how i need to stop smoking weed and i was like wait i don't even feel comfortable writing this bc i know i'm just going to pull the same shit i always do and just buy more when i run out. So for a solid 10 minutes i contemplated throwing away 8 grams and then contemplated giving it to someone the next day and thought about how i would feel the next day without it and i finally said fuck it and went downstairs and dropped all of it down the garbage disposal and i'm really happy bc i feel like so much in life has opened up for me and I literally just don't even want to smoke it anymore. I am pumped to start this new semester not being high during class and during tests and literally during every waking moment of life and actually experiencing life instead. YAYYYYYYYY finally

Same thing with me . Studying seemed more interesting on weed . But my memory recall suffered on test days and put me into a panic . Stopped smoking and can recall 10x better. Sounds like you where not playing when you got fed up ! 😄 If you ever desire it again put on some running shoes and run like hell , after the shower no more desire . Works for me !

This resonates so much. I stopped smoking weed during my spiritual awakening in 2011, I actually started getting physical symptoms like mouth ulcers and gnarly illnesses which I put down to smoking. I actually think it was my body's way of rejecting what it could no longer cope with. Once I stopped.. guessed what? My mouth ulcers and any ailments disappeared! Awesome video, as always... 😃👌🏼

After 8 year of daily smoking. I just stopped. I think when someone is ready...they will quit. I am sober 6 weeks now and starting to really enjoy sobriety and connecting with my young kids again instead of staying in my room while my family's life passed me by.

I made the choice to smoke at night and don’t allow myself to smoke during the day when I’m required to be more productive. I’ve taken it to a point where I see it as a bad thing even when tempted too and remember how debilitating it can be when you’re required to be on point. And little by little I’m smoking less all the while visualizing and feeling out how it’s going to be and feel when I no longer smoke.

So in short, you didn't smoke weed because you enjoyed it, you did it because you felt you needed a prescription to offset the Meth, I mean the Adderall.
I started smoking again this year after being away from it since 1987, and I find that marijuana helps me think deeper, and after it has worn off I think clearer. It also helps me to cope with depression. I feel more level and content when I've been smoking. I also enjoy the experience overall.
So different people do it for different reasons. You did it because you felt like you had to. I do it out of choice, first because I like it, and secondly because it helps.

I quit last week out of feeling like I was dependent on it and feeling like I am at a higher vibration with out it and out of love and being in tune with my body I quit. Thank you for sharing your story and being relatable. This has affirmed why I quit and gave my more reasoning on why it was a good choice and I can continue to not smoke.

I feel like weed is overrated. I'm sure there are people that benefit a lot from smoking but I think there are many people who are better off not doing it.
Allthough it's hard to neither smoke nor drink alcohol in our society
