I must be getting really old. I remember seeing this movie as part of the Saturday afternoon double feature at the Empire Theater in my hometown when I was a kid. Great fun !!!!!
Scary castles like this totally captured my imagination as a kid. I remember seeing this when I was like 8 years old in 1974. The gigantic steps Boris walks down............and the numerous corridors. Wow. Just wow.
The acting is absolutely exquisite and is impeccable. Jack and his wife are absolutely beautiful…. He was actually married to the ghost in real life… the cinematography is brilliant. The scenery is absolutely lovely the architecture the interior design Boris Karloff is absolutely amazing. Everything about us is awesome. Thank you for sharing. ♥️
We all know how great Jack Nicholson is, but I wish Boris Karloff were better known with the general public today. The man was a genius actor with tremendous range.
Boris is known I'm 47 I'm Gen X we still loved those old flicks and Jack was an A Lister my whole life from birth till he retired. The one thing that will Keep Boris going is his monster movies I'm sure those will attract many generations to a degree.

The film stars beautiful ''Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff'' as a trio of rival sorcerers. The supporting cast includes Jack Nicholson as the son of Lorre's character.
The Terror was actually made as a follow-up to The Raven with two actors from it. Corman just finished The Raven two days earlier and wanted to use the same sets before they were torn down. And only afterwards he thought what to do with the rest of the story

I could hardly watch any new movies even the last 20 years this movie seem to be really lame compared to the movie movies in the 1960s and if it wasn’t for you to buy would’ve never seen these movies this is so great the music is awesome. I love every minute of this movie. Thank you.

Funny how this movie ends with Jack kissing a beautiful woman, who then rots away to a corpse to his disgust, just as -- 17 years later -- Jack would have a major scene in the bathroom of Room 237 at the Overlook Hotel . . . kissing a beautiful woman, only for her appearance to change into that of a rotting hag. It's deja vu all over again!

J'ai un brin de nostalgie en le regardant, il est le reflet de son époque et d'une construction visuelle, scénaristique à la limite du "peplum" et très théâtrale d'une certaine façon - à mon sens. Au début j'ai cru que le personnage d'Hélène serait plutôt "plat" dans son développement mais en fait pas du tout et les autres personnages secondaires et tertiaires sont tout aussi intéressant. Mon seul regret est le personnage d'André ; je le trouve peu développé - je vais être un peu vulgaire - mais la seule chose qui le motive est son entrejambe. C'est caricatural mais c'est exactement ce que j'ai ressenti pour ce personnage d'un bout à l'autre du film. Dommage ! Bonne découverte pour ma part en tout cas.

- Cinematic. Great, lively colors. Just a few characters, but the film carried through intensely - besides acting, also because of the story. Art-horror. Karloff - Nicholson axel worked well. "Ilisha" the beautiful. This must have been a cult-classic. I thought they make this kind of films - and on this level - only in England and Italy. Coppola? -

Great movie kept me on the edge of my seat though the entire movie, scary at times and all the actors were great as well.

Fazer cinema no tempo em que os efeitos especiais eram pedras boiando na inundação, era outro nível.
😂😂😂 não pude deixar de responder: sinceramente, gostei do filme e dos efeitos, afinal, era 1963; mas quando vi o final, tiver que rir! estava indo tão bem, mas no fim, ver tijolos boiando, foi demais!
E o pior: os tijolos daquela época eram maciços e enormes! 😅
Melhor abafar o caso. De repente usam tijolo de verdade e acaba sobrando pra nós 😇

- Cinematic. Great, lively colors. Just a few characters, but the film carried through intensely - besides acting, also because of the story. Art-horror. Karloff - Nicholson axel worked well. "Ilisha" the beautiful. This must have been a cult-classic. I thought they make this kind of films - and on this level - only in England and Italy. Coppola? -
