Thanks, I ended up making a big job change and move (up to Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth MN) and all of that took so much time and energy, but hopefully now I"m starting to find a bit of time here and there to get back to some of these projects that I really enjoy working on. Hope all is going well on your side!
Hi, this is custom / diy firmware running on a teensy 3.6. The GCS is also custom and part of the same project. I have been working on this off and on since the mid 2000's. The main project page starts here: github.com/NorthStarUAS I'm not trying to create something that competes with ardupilot or px4 (they do everything for everyone on every board with every device which is great but adds a lot of complexity.) My intent is to support a much smaller subset of devices and boards and do my best to keep everything simpler and hopefully a little more accessible. And it's a framework where I can develop my own ideas, because I have some!
Hi Rickardo, yes, this is an evolution of that same system. However, a few years ago my friends at Flite Test came out with a simple flight controller board and they called it Aura, so I changed the name of my project to North Star UAS (because I moved pretty far north in the USA two and a half years ago.)
Happy to see you again, awesome thanks
Happy to see updates from you, Curt! ❤
