Good to see someone doing an honest review of BA's current products. It seems trendy now to constantly hate on everything BA does - usually by people who clearly don't fly very often. Nice video man.
qwerty Often or not, people are allowed an opinion on BA, especially that it’s VERY apparent they have downgraded their services over the last few years. This is a brand new plane, so that improves things, but move this to an older one and you once again have sub-par everything.
The A350 is an amazing machine. So quiet and very efficient. I have just stepped off one after flying with China Airlines. Amazing crew and service. I always look forward to your videos! Keep up the good work.
Asian airlines are two notches up when compared to European ones . Unfortunately in British airways, if you're not white you won't get a good treatment from crew
Really like your style 👍😊 loads of reviews of this new A350 but yours the most unique and love the dry humour - glad that BA can still put on a decent show (my flag carrier). As an aside, the A350 wing is a work of art - I adore the sweeping lines and winglet ❤️
Another video! Cool :). 4:57 I do love that city. Both from the air and from the ground. 7:15 Can't help but wonder what the person next to you must be thinking you're doing, with that gopro hovering above your food. Comfy flight stuff. Well captured :)
Lol thanks for the huge shoutout! I really love your reviews and am a huge fan! I ran and showed my wife immediately lol! Btw I’m half Tongan on moms side. So from the island of Tonga near Fiji, So it’s pronounced a little differently but appreciate the attempt!
Haha, I just knew I was gonna botch that pronunciation! 🤭😅 How is it pronounced? Let me know and I’ll be sure to get it right next time. 😁 Glad you enjoyed it otherwise!
Thanks for this video. I'm planning a trip from London Heathrow to Austin, Texas next year with BA so it's great to see the options before choosing a ticket to buy.
Excellent video. Meanwhile, since Premium Economy costs significantly more than standard Economy, one would think that in addition to more comfortable seating, more pitch, and perhaps better food, more air carriers would offer a seat that doesn't infringe on personal space. Kudos to China Airlines and Air France for figuring this out.
Good point! I’ve always felt that premium economy needed to be a bit “more” to justify the cost - it’s sooo close to being good on some carriers (I liked Qantas PE), but I was hoping for just a little bit more with BA.
@@sanspotter me, too! I recently flew the type on LASLHRLAS and was somewhat underwhelmed in what they have taken away from previous trips in World Traveler Plus that I've experienced. The flight was fine but the onboard service left a lot to be desired. So much so that the CSD had to be called for a head set issue that took an hour to finally resolve! And whoever heard the whole cabin crew unable to answer a call because they were on their meal break!! What, all at the same time? Pull the other leg, please BA.....
the meal is excellent and i even kept the tray and the crockery after the crews said fine take it as a souvenier, got to love anything with the airline logo to use at home.
Well done for getting on the new BA A350. I am amazed you have not mentioned the brand new, totally redesigned business cabin that BA has only just started introducing, the Club Suite at 10:50. Hopefully you will review it one day!
I feel that on the A350 premium economy should really be in a 7 seat abreast configuration. One seat less (8 vs in economy) isn't a big enough differentiator in my opinion.
Now that meal Service was really good. Real cutlery, China plates and linen napkins. Food itself looked superb and was presented the way it should be. Fancy stuff…..
Yes!!! I have finally discovered something Claus approves of! 😆😆 I was actually thinking of you when they presented the meal to me - China plates and linen napkins do make all the difference. 👍🏻
Great review as always Scott....and it looked like a pretty decent effort from BA in Premium Economy. Like you I find the foot supports or leg rests on aircraft utterly useless. SQ have them in Premium economy as do others and they make you more uncomfortable when you use them..may be that is just my observation! Glad to see you back in the in air and I agree about Dubai Airport...amazing place! Looking forward to our next trip !! Thanks mate !!

I love your commentary!!! Definitely always flying BA to Dubai. I had an opportunity to fly in both their World Traveller and their World Traveller Plus cabins and was really impressed with both products. It is fantastic that they are putting their flagship A350’s and A380s on that route.

I really like the idea of premium economy. It's good for those of us who can spend a bit more for the extra comfort but not too much for the price of business
Why is the A350 economy class in general not looking as good as the 777 in my opinion? Strange. Also, how do feel about Air Transat starting service to San Diego from Montreal next summer?
Arrived yesterday 17/10/09 London to Sydney flying Premium Economy with British Airways. It was surprisingly good. Usually go Business but thought I would give this a go and save half the fare. Hey Shane! Yes, I do think premium economy is worth it over regular economy on BA. Qantas (787-9) was my best ever PE experience, and I don’t think BA is quite that good, but I’d still be happy to pay extra for it. Also, there were pre departure drinks offered, but I was unable to get footage of it unfortunately. And yes, DXB is amazing! I have tons of footage from inside in the video of the return flight to LHR.

BA Premium Economy is a great deal when the business class is exorbitant. Be careful though because surprisingly, sometimes the premium economy is just as expensive as the business class. I am not sure about why this is the case.
Not a bad review of BA's new A350 ... The congestion in Heathrow is unreal and makes life difficult for those who fly into LHR! Sometimes you land ahead of schedule and still have to wait for 20 to 30mins to get a parking gate. Or the traffic of planes landing into LHR is so great you have to hold in the air and wait minutes for your turn to land. All these delays due to heavy traffic often make life difficult for those with tight onward connections! I know its a controversial debate at the moment but I think they need to hurry up and construct that third runway and a new terminal!
The lack of tail cam is a disgrace though. I would choose a competitor that had it even if it was slightly more expensive. Criminal they didn't install it.
Hi Scott,,. Good day to you. BTW have u ever flown KLM Long Haul from Amsterdam to Bali via Singapore? If you have the chance, do fly this route. Thanks..
You were lucky you could even eat the food. On my last trip with BA (WT+) LHR BKK I was served an inedible dried up pasta dish. I did get a pat of butter but alas nothing bread wise to put it on. The service was at best rubbish. The only good thing I can say about it was at least we got to the destination. As you can imagine I wont use them anymore.
So sad that this is all called premium economy now - seat pitch that should be called normal... Looks almost like not much more than regular Emirates economy
@@12345anton6789 i know about official seat pitches - but really, after a couple times in several premium economy products, it's still nothing I am ready to pay for so much extra. And Emirates, where I flew all classes, even though smaller pitch than premium economy, still really feels very close to premium elsewhere while the price is rather eco(nomical). Just wanted to express that it's not okay to make regular eco even smaller than it already is, and justify it with available premium eco that's just got seat pitches that are what should be normal. I was on LH premium economy recently. Everybody says it's so much more comfy than regular eco. It IS! Because in eco you're tight like sardines in a tin. That cannot be the reference!

Great video, I fly BA a lot but not experienced their new A350's yet. Perhaps an excuse to go to Dubai :)
Once you fly PE it’s real hard to go back to coach
Very un-London weather! Maybe one of these times, review the loo with an obscenely extreme fish-eye lens?
Good idea! Would be funny to see *everything* in one shot. 😄
Issue with BA Premium is if the seat in front is reclined the space reduces significantly. Economy escape hatch seats are better in that instance
Are you gonna do JFK-BOM Inaugural flight? (Delta)
What backpack did you go with in the end?
I went with Swiss Gear this time (the 5902). I like it a lot so far!
Was this the -900 or the -500 because the -900 is my favourite plane :)
Oh wait I’ve just realised this is the first A350
The lack of tail cam is a disgrace though. I would choose a competitor that had it even if it was slightly more expensive. Criminal they didn't install it.
What’s a tail cam
Hi Scott,.! How is the red wine? Why the Pizza look a bit messy and hmmm... disgusting..? I hope the taste is alright..
Franklin! 👋🏻 The pizza was messy but quite good actually. 😁
Hi Scott,,.
Good day to you. BTW have u ever flown KLM Long Haul from Amsterdam to Bali via Singapore? If you have the chance, do fly this route.
Thanks..
I had that exact same flight
Please do a video on Singapore to Nadi (Fiji) on Fiji Airways.
I am planning a trip to Singapore soon - and that sounds like a great idea actually...
How tall are you? I’d like to know if had comfortable leg room.
5’-10” (ish)
You were lucky you could even eat the food. On my last trip with BA (WT+) LHR BKK I was served an inedible dried up pasta dish. I did get a pat of butter but alas nothing bread wise to put it on. The service was at best rubbish. The only good thing I can say about it was at least we got to the destination. As you can imagine I wont use them anymore.
So sad that this is all called premium economy now - seat pitch that should be called normal... Looks almost like not much more than regular Emirates economy
Travel Sing Fly if you can’t see the difference in 4-6 inches more in pitch
