Old sprues like that just give you a lot of options which is partly what makes it confusing. If it looks good to you then go with it. Many of the sculpts today are done in 3D software which is how they get the details. In the past they were sculpted in clay/putty first by amazing sculptors - I have no idea how they managed what they did but a lot of skill was surely required. Great video, it is always nice to see so much of the process. Most channels skip the model building bit and it feels like there aren't many people that show that unless its for a conversion.
Old Sprues? I didn't realise they were old, I thought this was a new set. Yeah that is a lot of skill to make something like that! Thank you for the comments, glad to show off as much as I can, I want to share my experiences, hence the videos! There will be more as I get back into this after so long, so I hope to see more comments/suggestions from you in those. Cheers
Have you tried using Revell Contacta or Tamiya extra thin glues? I build scale models from airfix and the likes, and I use these glues and they work a treat on plastic. Dunno if those figures you've got are the same kinda plastic though.
I've tried contact and had similar results, they seem to eventually stick but it seems you need to apply the pieces and glue a number of times before they really hold. I'll keep Tamiya in mind for the next time, thanks
Who would say you painted that the wrong colour in 40k? It is pretty much cart blanche as to the colour palette you use and usually you can see multiple paint scheme options.
To use your word that looks so fiddley! Really well done 😊
Yes! And there are more fiddly things yet to come!!

As I said in the video I’ve had death threats for painting hair the wrong colour! Yes I’m working my own Marines chapter now ☺️
