Idk why. But marvel makes worse versions of certain storylines. This was a big event in the marvels comic universe and left ripple effects for multiple years in a lot of comic book story lines across many characters. This version of the story was used too early and would’ve been fine post endgame as a main event.
You & mustard clearly just didn’t understand the point of the movie. The whole point was to divide the avengers for thanos. Plus the original comic wasn’t good
@@nightspiderpoolnot true man I completely disagree. The original comic was good and right now Marvel is in a drought because of post Endgame slump. Civil War with the government trying to come after the Avengers now would’ve been a much better story at the perfect time. It doesn’t have to be the exact same thing as the comics, just look at how the MCU did the One More Day story that was trash but Far From Home was loved and has had effects on the whole MCU.
I agree with the government motivation critique, but the timing part is a bit iffy. You would have traded motivations for Wanda, Strange, and Spiderman for Vision and Black Widow not being there along with, you know, Captain America and Iron Man. Kinda important, no? Also, don't hate on a brother for getting a little after his girlfriend dies. Can't fault the man there. She was hot, and he is a pretty guarded dude so he doesn't jump on anything that comes his way.
Tony literally breaks the accords to hire Spiderman to their team, and went rogue at the end to do his own thing.
If Hulk was there he'd be Team Iron Man and if Thor was there he'd be Team Captain America.
And this is why I prefer Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 over Captain America Civil War and the Civil War comic.
i almost walked out on this movie at the theater. I remain shocked at how many ppl say this is one of the best marvel movies.

The government were already shaky before in other movies but civil war just took it to a whole next level of insanity there.
