Another tip that an actual employee of Amazon told me was “make sure that your item is shipped from Amazon”. If you buy from them. In other words it can be sold by the vendor, but shipped from Amazon. Even sold and shipped by Amazon is better. I myself was a victim of being scammed. Another tip is. If you are asked to give a review about the item you purchased, be honest tell them how you felt about your item. I gave a review about something I bought that was not good quality and I received a refund. Good luck and Be careful shopping online.
One thing I have learned is to READ 👏🏽 THE 👏🏽REVIEWS👏🏽!! Sometimes you can still get crappy stuff after reading review’s, but from my experience you can save yourself a lot of heartache and money if you read reviews. And pay with PayPal. It’s usually pretty easy and that’s what I use even when I am selling something.

Or shop with brand loyalty. Let’s also not forget fast fashion is creating trash at increasingly alarming rates. Try to shop for quality goods that cost a little more. Save up and buy something that will last you.

I agree with these tips and I will also add to be careful of sites where ALL the models heads are cut out of the pictures. Even on well-known sites, you may see a few pictures like this. But when all of the pictures have the faces cut off, that is a major red flag 🚩as it means they stole them from another site
Soooooo TRUE Jeanne, I was scammed with a pair of the hardest ugly shoes you have seen, and they were so cute on line, and a sweater dress that was nowhere near my size and so cheap. I love shopping on line, but I am very conscious about the store brand, and return policy. They make things look really good, but no off brand or pretend off brand things👎👎👎👎
When I shop online I use my phone so I can always screen shot the confirmation and keep it until I receive the item. So I have proof from the actual website that I made the purchase.

I got scammed out of $300 cash at one of those replica shops in Beijing. This happened 3 years ago and I’m still hot about it!! 😡 Lessons learned: 1) only buy authentic products, even if they cost 2-3 times more than the “discounted/replica” brand ; 2) only shop at reputable companies or with vendors who are local/accessible and will guarantee your money back if you’re dissatisfied; and 3) if it’s a private vendor, always, always check their work! Don’t let them sell you a picture! Get tangible proof that they actually know how to make what’s photographed. In my case, I had someone handcraft a pair of shoes that I saw a picture of in their “catalog” and they turned out absolutely f**king terrible. When I contacted the sales lady, she just laughed. Ugh!
