Only thing I would do different would be to paint the tips of the bow mounts something other than red so that it will make it easier to find the docking slot in low light conditions. Thanks for sharing your build!
No way! I bought this tig welder after I paid a welding shop to repair another boat. Their repair leaked. I made up my mind I’d never pay for another weld repair. I’d figure out how to do it myself. I bought this TIG welder for a previous boat remodel. That other boat is the only TIG welding experience that I had before this build. I have been arc and mid welding as a hobby for 30 years though so I have a lot of fundamental understanding of welding going into tig welding.
@@danhughes3626 it’s been a while so I don’t quite remember, but it was very cheap because I bought it from a scrapyard. I think I paid a dollar a pound.
@justtinkering6054 thanks I have a boat I paid 50 dollars I want to do what you did...but no welder or a lot of tools... did you Pre cut anything or had to cut and see..I want a light weight Just get functional.. any ideas Can I email you with pics Thanks
I didn't realize until way after the build was done that I didn't talk about where I got the materials for the deck. I went to a scrap yard near me and they had a "Kayak" brand pool deck in their scrap bin. It locks together and is light and strong. It was perfect for this application.
I like it simple little bow fishing boat nice job on the finished product
You did a great job, definitely worth the watch and gave me some good ideas

Normally you set on the right side to run a tiller style motor. Other than that good job bro
Are you a professional tig welder?

Great build! I’m interested in any info on your lights you’re running.
Cheap 100W soft white LED outdoor lights from Ebay. No name stuff. 120 Volts AC.
