Seeing 2025 in the title is so crazy to me. Been watching your stuff since 2015. I was in 9th grade. Thank you for the past decade of information, inspiration, and fun.
I'm one of those guys who carries a fixed blade and a folder. My folder will be something more delicate for general work and food prep like the Kershaw bel air or benchmade bugout etc, and a thick fixed blade that I can use for prying or zip ties or stabbing into the side of a cliff and climbing down it ( not really lol). And for that I have my esee izula with an after market kydex sheath and g10 scales.
I'm another guy that carries a fixed and a folder. I carry a very finely edged spyderco police 4 in k390 and a varusteleka jaakaripuukko 140, one for most daily cutting and one for emergency stuff. I also live in Alaska, where emergencies frequently involve the outdoors.
Look guys train everyday with what you love and incorporate it in your everyday life Don't worry about what someone else has like this guy! Take what you got and make it yours train everyday shoot every chance you get and be safe and educate other fellow Americans about training everyday or every chance we get so we can make everyone safer in our life in our community be humble.
This isn’t a criticism, but for me I’m getting in to small sling carry. I don’t like filling all my pockets with stuff. Got a little KARGO made in CO. And I’m eyeing a 945 industry’s sling. Great content. See ya
Just got my Hogue grip on my Shield and LOVE it! I got the .40, and then got replacement barrels in 357 SIG and 9mm (and 9mm mags) to have caliber options.
Different types of carry exploration requires a dedication to truly trying new ways of carrying and EDC and make it habit. 90 days. Working on it is a long term testing process and we must be open to changing old habits. Wearing glasses for the first time is becoming a challenge but makes me realize this new part of my edc is necessary. The in necessary need to get the same source of dedication
I've had 4 or 5 Thrunites. One died on me... After probably 5 years of everyday use. The other ones all still going strong. Thrunite and Acebeam are my favorite brands.
I only carry a fixed blade as of late, i just am not a fan of the maintenance that comes with folders. I don’t have to use my blade very often at my job I mainly need pliers or a prybar for my job. Bradford guardian 3 is my go to
For lights, I carry the Cloud Defensive Chicro, single battery model. It's 350 lumens and 35 lumens. Momentary or click. They now have a dual cell that is 500 lumens and 50 lumens. Both are rechargeable without removing the battery. Very small and disappears in the pocket. For CCW belts, I use the Agonic EDB. It's flexible but very hard to crush vertically. I carry my Glock 45 with a light and red dot and have no issues. It stays put. You can also use it in gym shorts. Just wear it under the shorts. Great vid! Thanks for all that you do.
@@gideonstactical it is. that light is great and it's under $45. And I have 3 glocks in my rotation, 43x, 19, and 45. The belt works great for all of them. I also switch between a Kershaw Iridium and Monitor for a folder. And my wallet is a Ridge wallet. I've had it for almost 10 years. I need a new one but just can't let this one go. I may just get a rebuild kit for it an keep rolling.
I’m carrying a Benchmade mini auto Rukus, a Leatherman P2 clipped in the pocket, and a Viper Handy IWB. I carry both a folder and a fixed blade because why not.
Aaron, I started with the OG M&P shield as well but upgraded when the shield plus came out for the increased magazine capacity. Buy them while you can hear in Colorado because some crazy legislation is going through the legislature.
Thanks for the tip on the LAPG jeans. I almost exclusively wear Kuhl Revolvr but have been looking at jeans of late. Just ordered a pair. Also ordered an Overland Sport last week and looking forward to trying it out. I prefer to carry several knives (one is none rule) and like to be able to access them with right or left hand. PM3, CR Inkosi, Leatherman Squirt, and Swiss Army Pioneer. I too carry a toothpick holder - Ti version from CountyComm. Favorite lights are the Streamlight Wedge or Surefire EDCL2-T. Either work fine in the side pocket of Kuhls.
Honestly, try the surefire stiletto pro. It’s not cheap but it costs as much as the pile of other standard format lights I tried before. The shape is fantastic, it’s long enough for a good grip, has cable recharge, momentary only on high and then a side switch for low and medium admin modes. OC I usually have off body. I’ve found it to be the hardest thing to carry without a chance of accidental spray. I carry a Beretta PX4 Compact and spare mag, leather,an skeletool, victorinox with a small led light and a pen in it, and my stiletto. Can’t wear a watch, it’s just so uncomfortable. I’d appendix carry a desert eagle before I could wear a watch.
My beef also with the thrunite is that it turns on all the time in my pocket. I gave up on it because of that. That really sucks to need your light and find it dead in your pocket..
It's been the Climber or Pioneer X for over a decade, but I've recently switched to the Compact. I just like that slim profile while still keeping all of the important elements to me (scissors, knife, tweezers, toothpick, and flathead). Outrider for hiking/backpacking, love that long locking spear point blade with no opening hole. If the retired Leatherman Juice had a pocket clip, that would be my #1 choice to replace a SAK. I would buy a PowerPint in a heartbeat if they came out with a premium version that had better steel for the tools. My issue with SOG (and Gerber) has always been their knives and tools are poorer builds than Leatherman or Victorinox. I carry Sabre Pepper Gel when hiking, mainly for off-leash dogs. Great distance and accuracy if you haven't tried that particular model. It comes with a cheap nylon holster that people crap on in reviews, but I've tri-glide clipped it to my backpack shoulder strap for years without any issue.
I live in a third story apartment in a good sized complex. My phone flashlight is perfect for my current needs. It also has a clock and for me that's all I really need for that part of my EDC. But I always have a knife on my person wether it's my Esee 4hm or a Civivi full size and if I have my backpack with me then I have my Junglas 2 with 2 other Civivi knives hidden within smaller pockets of my backpack. I keep my Junglas on the side Molly attached with the kydex inserted into the water bottle holder.
@@navycrew562 true but my phone rarely ever gets down to 50%. I'm an avid charger for sure. My phone has something called turbocharged charging. Which is faster than fast charging like a lot faster. It can go 0 to 100% in less than an hour.
I carry a flat rechargeable torch in my rear mag pocket and a small AAA single function inspection light with an extra battery in my front pocket.. I use the inspection light daily at work and I can't have it go dead on me.
I am one of those guys that carries both a fixed blade and folder. Why? Well because I like to I suppose. The two I have one me most times is the Demko Shark Cub AUS10 for my beater folder and my design the HAWK by Very Good Knife Co in Nitro V
Some good pieces of kit you have upgraded. I wear a suit for work so my suit jacket inside pockets carry my gear. I was given a few freebies from a trade show including a pocket torch (flashlight in USA). The idea of a USB-C charger for any gadgets is great. I scored a pen sized USB - A to USB - C adapter from a pen sized tube. These things hide inside my suit jacket are always there at the ready & my disposal.
I think clothing choice is an important part of edc. Not the brand but the articles. Are you wearing jeans and a tshirt, flannel or hoodie, jacket with pockets.
OH I GOTTA HAVE IT, the pen cap thingy. I can carry that at work and it doesn't even look tac-ie. I was looking for something like that. THANK YOU I carry "other things" but I can't be walking around holding those but a pen, YES !
In my job I have to walk up on sketchy people and convince them to leave the premises. That will be perfect, I already use a regular sharpie for that purpose. The cap is a major enhancement for "other uses."
I like fanny packs. Fanny packs are useful when I dont want to fill my pockets, I'm wearing sweats or swimming trunks. In these situations, a fanny pack is the ticket. They are comfortable due to easy positioning, easy to remove, and store if needed. Keeps all the things I need in one place for easy access. Everyone should like fanny packs. Guys that dont, think they are too girly... Cracks me up!😊
I might need to pick up a pair of those jeans from la police gear I've put on some weight and can use a new pair. Those extra pockets look really handy

I will never buy another Thrunite flashlight. Everyone I purchased have had major issues except one. One out of five is not acceptable to me. Olight, Nitecore, Fenix, even Wuben are much better options.
Usually my edc consists of just a watch, flashlight and multitool. These would be the Gshock GA-B2100 (Because I am a skinny guy with a small wrist), with a holstered Nitecore EDC33 and a Leatherman Wave+ to the belt . But after this video maybe I should add a toothpick holder to the set up 😂😂😂
