Just am fyi for everyone wanting to tame one of these, you can pick the swarms up with a squid and drop them onto the turtle ( when you grab the fish itll look like you've not got them but it works)

I did it in flak and they aggroed the same(from the looks). i found that swimming slowly backwards kept them at a pace.

The Vegetation on the back of the turtle depends on how many rare flowers/mushrooms and seeds are in its inventory. It took my turtle 5 days to grow the full bushes. The mushrooms are still growing tho

I think the reason the swarm dissappeared is that when you tame the turtles with them saberteeth salmon will spawn and slowly start eating away at the swarm
this 100%. Sabertooth salmon spawn in waves and eat the swarm, degrading their health. we tamed a 280(20x taming) using a 110 swarm in about 50 mins or an hour. you just have to constantly protect it from the salmon. the bloodstalker would probably be good at grabbing and killing them.

I'd imagined the fish as like the ones that eat away the dead skin on your feet. The turtle's happy about being groomed.
It's how I prefer to see it.
Syn, the turtle is based off of a mid century myth (or I think it is) where sailors would set fires on the turtles shell. When these unlucky souls would light a fire the turtle would go under water to stop the fire and killing the sailors in the process by drowning them along as their ships that would be tied the the rocks and trees attached and growning on the giant turtles shell.
Name suggestions:
1.) Crush from Finding Nemo
2.) Franklin from Franklin the children's book series
3.) Any of the ninja turtles; Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, or Michelangelo

The coelacanth and saber tooth salmon eat the swarm slowly. I’ve tamed 2 and it only took 1 swarm. Sit on a cliff and grab the fish. When you take out the mushrooms and flowers the bushes on its back disappear.
Name suggestion: A'Tuin! the great turtle in Terry Pratchett's diskworld books :)

Just to give a tip, the swarms of fish spawn actual fish that eat then and do way more damage than the actual turtle. If you kill those when they spawn the swarms last about 3.5 times as long

Tip: don't trap it as it makes killing the fish eating the swarm harder. Just let it wander around and kill any baddies and any salmon/coel that look like they might be following your turtle

one thing i noticed with them, if you add or the server settings add any amount of speed to the turtle dudes, they have a rubber band effect.
If anything hits the turtle during the taming. It resets the taming bar. Just to annoy you more the taming summons fish to have a chance to hit the turtle.
Syntac, if the turtle isn't trapped, the fish don't respawn, and all ya have to do is kill the threats, it's like a guard mission, and it's a little more interesting than sitting around and then getting more.
the Tortuga island is an island that if floating and moving then turns out to be vegetation on a colossal turtle's back

I bought a Megachelon on the Amino server I play on, they're actually pretty fun as Caravans
I 100% want to see rage clips... We all sound childish when we rage, but it can be pretty entertaining when someone else rages at a game.. lol.. Love the videos though bro. They're hilarious.
With your taming rates, not trapping the Megachelon would work better. The trapping method doesn't work well. If you tame them without a trap the school of fish will not disappear and even the lowest level will get them to 100%, you just need to protect the Megachelon from sharks and then sabertooth salmon spawn every once in awhile and try to attack the fish. I've tamed two of these guys and didn't have any trouble at all. Just clear the sharks around it before you start taming and its super simple. Also, the amount of stuff that grows on its back depends on how much of those passively produced resources are in its inventory. I have one that has a bunch of bushes and stuff. :)

You can passive tame them with meat.
You need to have rare flower and mushroom and the seeds in its inventory to get it growing grass on its back. The more you have of the resource the faster it will grow. Hope this helped
Coels eats the sworm too, probably why it wasnt tamed with one sworm

Funny fact : Me and my GF playing on a pve, and we started taming a 150.. NO traps... i quit 3 times, before we actually got it. yes... it reset at least 4 times... never again.
What we did, was using a tuso to grap the swarm and place it close to the turtle. taming started, and all it was for me was to clear the area all the time.. for.. forever.. kinda. and she took care of the salmon.
i know im late as HFIL but i think A'Tuin would be a perfect name for the turtle

If u bring a swarm to a turtle and transfer out of render and wait like 5 mins it will be tamed just have to have no one in render

One swarm can tame a turtle, sabertooth salmon spawn while its taming and eat the swarm if u dont kill them fast enough they will eat the swarm and stop the tame.

Also i think they are omnivores so you can feed them meat or barries
If you ever decide to tame another one, just get the swarm to the turtle, go out of render and just watch ur tribe log untill it’s tames, that way nothing will agro the swarm

Names for the turtle: Maturin ( he is like a turtle god in the Dark Tower Book series) and you could never go wrong with getting 4 of them and naming them the Ninja Turtles starting with the best ,Michelangelo
