The reason myself and many others reacted so negatively to this patch isn't because of the gameplay changes, or at least that's not the full picture. The reason we dislike this patch so much is because it completely misunderstands the complaints tank players have with their role.
In the dev blog, they said the purpose of this patch was to make tanks more tanky, which is not the problem. The problem is that tank agency comes at the cost of literally every other role. If tanks are too superpowered, it pulls the focus of their supports to do nothing but enable the tank, limiting their playstyle options. A great example of this is in Eskay's recent video, where she talks about how she can't play aggressive anymore. The dps suffer from this because their pick potential is practically cut in half with tanks able to absorb any and all pressure they put out, and they themselves are punished even harder for mistakes because the supports can't bail them out, being focused on the tank themselves.
And that's all while ignoring the fact that if tanks aren't superpowered, they themselves have no agency, their games mostly left up to the dps and support players. So yeah, the patch isn't actually that bad gameplay wise(as long as you're a tank, if you're a dps or support it's dead by daylight) but the reason it gained so much negative feedback is because it completely misdiagnosis the problem.

A totally valid point that I am certain will be explored in the Dev update (director's take) happening soon. Thank you for your constructive comment that provides a platform for discussion!
