I love that most of the comments on here are honest feedback on the cost of their models. I don’t expect them to take note but it’s good for them to be aware that general feedback is not good
Totally agree mate hornby now just relying on the name now a real shame. I haven't bought any hornby stuff for about a year now buy from other companies better quality and prices
the only model ive actually bought brand new from hornby in the past 3 years was the lion trainpack and thats only bc rails of sheffield was doing it for like £130
Hornby could do with a major rethink regarding their track. The locos and rolling stock are in general very good, but you wouldn't land an Airbus 380 new aircraft on a grass verge airport as a matter of choice. Then why expect modellers to buy the Locomotives et al but use sub-standard track ?
One wonders could Hornby produce track like the track with a base as produced by Roco and Maerklin. Such track can be laid directly on a floor thus allowing a beginner to get started without needing to nail track on board.
@@KTTG395*spends £185 on a shunter* I didnt tho i almost did but instead i got the older hornby shunter from a local store for £70, put my own buffer beam detailing on it, glazed the windows, put in a cab, and there you go, a perfect little shunter👌
Sorry, price's to high for quality offered. I suggest you take random sampling from factory delivery then you may see what I mean, example glue showing, poor motor quality etc.
Products costing money is such a shame. The streets will run red with the blood of capitalism brother... You can buy your minirevolution play set now at tour favourite toy retailer
One thing to remember though, is that things that are made in china arent always bad. Still doesnt change the fact that im going broke if i dont buy second hand
Thats why I buy everything second hand, might fix some bits and pieces. But I cannot afford a steam loco, without coaches for £200-300. I rather use old Triang coaches instead. Apart from that, most of my british loco models are from Hornby, with few made by Bachmann.
My favorite hornby The number 4472 named the flying scotsman He is my favorite steam engine in the world. Not that he was the first steam engine to caught to 100 miles per hour. None went The tour Is america an australia
“Tell us you’re obsessed with Hornby” Right but which era? 1920s-30s? Tinplate O gauge 1940s-60s? Diecast & tinplate OO 1960s-70s? Dublo toolings are sold to Wrenn and Triang’s products are rebranded to Hornby 1980s-90s? Hornby Railways, which you’re all seemingly obsessed with considering you push the same, tired castings for premium prices with zero upgrades and modifications whatsoever 2000s-2010s? When you were quite frankly at the top of your game and producing some of the best models on the market Or 2020+? One of the biggest laughing stocks in the industry who pinches every good idea from every other manufacturer, and, like I said, push the same tired models from 40 years ago for premium prices with zero upgrades
Most of my hornby locos in my collection is your broken locomotives that have design flaws, 3 mazak class 31, a standard 4 with poor motor. My j83 has had its chassis scrapped and has a bachmann chassis : ) and runs perfect, the only hornby locomotive i have of good quality (that took £160 off me) was the j36 722 which is flawless. Get your quality and prices to j36 standards and your at a winner. STOP USING FAULTY MOTORS! -_-

I’m obsessed with getting poor locomotives and poor quality accessories for a ridiculously expensive price!
I used to love Hornby, until their prices went up and their quality went down.

Totally agree mate hornby now just relying on the name now a real shame. I haven't bought any hornby stuff for about a year now buy from other companies better quality and prices
@@petersmith4455 most of my locos are secondhand from ebay, thank god for them
I really loved model railways and obsessed with Hornby
Sam trains have to do a vid of this
Maybe try selling these wonderful trains in the US.. Why can’t we get them over here.
the only model ive actually bought brand new from hornby in the past 3 years was the lion trainpack and thats only bc rails of sheffield was doing it for like £130
I would be obsessed with Hornby if most of your prices weren't so eyewatering.
If I'm brutally honest your prices are so high none of my Hornby products are brand new 😂

Opening my wallet and theres nothing in there😂
My first ever Hornby train is coming soon, but I’m definitely not obsessed with it anyway. Wink wink
I just got my first one
I buy Bachmann.
Fair enough, if they’re all like the old class 60 motor and tooling, oh wait, they’re not
Nahh dude hornby is the goat
@@KTTG395so you like going bankrupt by buying one engine?

I have a room in my house just for model trains

I love it so much it’s so fun
I just have an obsession over hornby
Start making your models in Britain rather than china. And still charge your high prices.
they used to be in the Triang days, made in Margate
One thing to remember though, is that things that are made in china arent always bad. Still doesnt change the fact that im going broke if i dont buy second hand
Have you guys gotten around to fixing the horrible drag on those 6 wheel coaches yet? I guess not. Lol
My lot is overrun with Skaledale
Cant see how you can justify your recent price hikes
OO is my hobby
Most of my collection are Hornby with more on the way.Prices are increasing everywhere just check your supermarket etc.
thats why i have my old Triang trains, just great, fools and their money part,
