A computer such as this would be well-suited for use as a radio automation PC. Its power consumption, I'm sure, is greatly less than a much larger (and capable, of course) computer. All it'll simply do is be asked to behave as a sort of jukebox, something it can competently manage. I've looked into similarly equipped machines utilizing the Intel Atom processor, but this is the second time (the first being your K3 Windows 10 Keyboard PC Video) I've seen and also considered purchasing one for exactly the task aforementioned. It's too bad this model isn't produced any longer.

Coupled with normal HDD these 2c/4t Atoms were pretty ok even if they did lag a little on the web. These CPUs were mostly found in tablets with something like 8GB or 16GB flash memory and this was their biggest issue. It was like trying to run Windows from mediocre USB 2.0 stick. Windows unlike Linux tries to save something with every single user action and these flash memories had to read 512kb blicks, erase and write them even for a single byte change. I once replaced such flash with MD drive and despite such drive having even lower sustained speeds system started running and not too bad either. This computer for the price and for the time (no RPi400 back then) was pretty nice. Should be fine for basic computer and should play lots of older games too. BTW. Nice thing about these Atoms is that they are like overclocked Pentium 1. Would be even better for something like Win98 if there were video drivers for W98... though for dekstop boards this might not be an issue.

I've heard of winamp enuff but have actually never seen it on a machine running it's rather interesting and I kind of like user interface.
Is more reminiscent of maybe a stripped-down VLC media player.
And be able to have the media boy or just in a small window like that he is kind of desirable but yet still have access two nose functions without completely minimizing!
Most of the time for me that pump be out of the way if I was running an older machine that was around that that period of time.
Used to have an old Pentium class Celeron machine.
That the time probably was best I could afford that was actually the first computer that was truly my own computer the about my money!
At the time I had supplemental income and was underpaid.
My father suggested since there was more than enough to do this it was suggested that a good investment for the time would have been computer and Furniture a good investment for the time would have been computer and office furniture in a few other things!
    Definitely was a good investment!
Besides unfortunately I only have too much time to use the money so that was an issue at that point.
I use the heck out of it for years and I was so out a date even with that machine it was slow constantly running out of memory.

I've pondered on trying to build something similar from an old 486SL laptop board (long and thin!), random AT/PS2 keyboard and flashcard storage before, but didn't know usable it'd still be once all the cables were connected given that it'd be somewhat lighter and more likely to be pulled around by them than a classic heavyweight keyboard computer...

Just because it's easier to find for most people who want a small PC for basic daily task, I'd say just get a ASUS Chromebit with a Logitech keyboard that has a trackpad for about the same price if this was bought new, which is what I have connected to a spare 23in ACER monitor with an HDMI to DVI adapter, and a spare Bluetooth speaker I had laying around for sound. It now sits on a old school wood office desk my grandfather had in my guest room, and it looks really nice with the unit mounted to the back of the monitor using a 3M command strip, and the speaker hidden behind the monitor taking up very little space for such a small desk.

You must’ve inspired Linus to make a very similar video since this one is a few years older than his video

I always used a serial mouse on my main PC which runs Windows 10 64 bit. it's still surprising that it still supports these old legacy serial hardware.

This thing mounts the second iteration of the Bonnell architecture (what we are used to call Atom). Intel should have shipped this second generation back in 2008, and not 4 years later. I still have and use a n270 based netbook from 2009, and the heat that bloody chipset spits out is simply unjustifiable. That been said, with Mint18+LXDE and a 64GB SSD (pluse 2GB of ram) old Atom based nebooks are fantastic, sleek, devices.
ALSO, i almost forgot. I just bought for my uncle an HP ProBook 650 G2, with a bunch of stuff, i5 CPU, SSD with m.2 connector, built in wireless modem.... and a serial port. I was almost in shock. Somebody stuck a serial port on a skylake-u based notebook, that's something!

Fun thing about the K3 one is there's actually solder pads inside to attach internal speakers to the board, just a shame mine got screwed over by windows 10 updates and won't boot up properly now...
