My friend, I cannot get over how breathtakingly beautiful your shop is. Your videos are great, but I often have to rewind to listen again because I was looking at the shop.
This press has worked like a charm for my projects th-cam.com/users/postUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with. This was an excellent purchase for $40!!
There aren't many with that level of high precision and craftsmanship, and even every tool in your shop is of supreme quality. Same applies for the video production.
You have every right to be proud, that is a beautiful press table! I love the continuity between the pieces you create with the mix of the plywood and the full coloured mdf.
Greetings from Nottinghamshire (UK). Only stumbled across your channel yesterday and have watched many of them already! I love the precision you work to and your clarity when explaining. I share also your desire to make things which are aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. I'm a huge fan of Peter Millard's channel (and his MFT style of working) so was interested to see you link up with him. I've woodworked for maybe 3yrs now and am about to redesign my current double garage workshop to get more organised. I find often my setup time is far too long for simple tasks, leading me to cut corners (which I always regret). Watching your content is helping me greatly understand what I want in my tool shop and how I want it organised. Please keep the videos coming!
WOW! Kind Sir...as always, you have made yet another "GEM"...as you are. It's awesome. Thank you much, for what you share with us. in other words, when most think of it; YOU have forgotten it! WOW!
Hi Dennis, for me this was a very enjoyable watch and as an instructional build video, well it was just perfect. Thank you and I hope there are many more project how to build videos in the future,
What a magnificent addition to your drill press table. Loved the bottom layer which allows it to be slid onto the existing table. Always thought the round removable insert was the best idea, you improved on that with the dust slots underneath. So many brilliant adaptions which make it totally functional in so many ways. Only feature that the Woodpecker Drill Press table has are the sliding extension arms and the drawer underneath. Such Quality Craftmanship. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work Dennis, what you say at the end of the video is so true, you have to look at your creations every day in your work. having them as good as you can get them is a daily reminder that will prompt you to only do better. thank you
Without question, one of the best Drill Press table's out there... one I will likely replicate. The result is a really nice piece of shop furniture. Thanks for sharing.
By far the best drill press table I've see on TH-cam. The fence is greatest idea going. Great video. Now I'll have to make one, sure beats what I have now.
Brilliant design, Dennis. Thank you for producing this video AND plans to share with us! You're a fine example of leadership in this community. Best, Andrew Thiessen
Excellent product that you have created, and I particularly appreciated the how to and the why of the production process. Very impressive workshop you have now with some real state of the art equipment. Thanks for the time and effort you obviously spend in making such detailed videos .
12:09 I found that the easiest way of cutting those weird angles is with a track saw. You can lay a sheet of wall insulation on top of your workbench to avoid damaging it. Congratulations on the project, great stuff as usual 🤩
Coming up in a machine shop environment, I appreciate the care and precision your projects are made with. Love the videos. I also love the look of the black MDF.
Always amazing quality to your work and presentation. Pacing of video is not slow or boring at all. Appreciate the additional thoughts and comments as it’s a great springboard for evolving and personalizing. Additionally, kudos for somehow managing to have high quality commenters. Many TH-cam videos have trolls in the comment section. But yours seem to be full of intelligent and thoughtful netizens. That’s a rare breed to find online. :)
Great video Dennis - the pace is excellent; the options of different ways to do things really helpful. As ever, the effect mix of inspiration, perfection and motivation. Thank you for the time and effort you put into not just your projects but also in the video editing. Really high quality content as ever.
Hey Dennis, thank you for sharing the concept, all the tips and advice, and the PDF of the table! I really enjoyed watching this video, and the format and pacing, together with the information included was really well done. Thanks again :)
Ah yes. Thanks for the explanation about the *second* row of holes in combination with a stop block on you drill press fence! That makes sense then! Such a perfectionist! But the results are amazing! Also I think you're the first person I've ever seen putting MDF through a thicknesser :)
Great video Dennis! The format is really working for me, I like the detailed information and presentation. Would love to see more of this style from you .
Great looking table. I love the fact the you put so much attention in the small details that make that a beautiful tool accessory. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
That was great. I have been watching a number of these drill press table builds and always wondered why they didn’t put the t-track on the side of the table? I’m glad you chose that approach.
What you make is always amazing Dennis and is a great inspiration to me. Honestly I shamelessly copy most of what you do, at least in part, as I also get much more satisfaction from making things I get pleasure in looking at. I get frustrated with the “it’s only shop furniture” mentality because working in an environment that gives you pleasure affects feeds the other things you make there! I like this more detailed build content as well (did I mention I steal you ideas) as it helps replicate. Please keep up your fantastic work!
very nice video. And wow what a build. I'm nowhere near this level. And still slowly getting the tools, very very slowly. But its fun and thats what is most important.
The drill press table and shelf sure have a wide variety of options. Looks great, love the round removable center I agree the circle has more options for longer usage before replacement is necessary. The dust extraction is a great addition. Black MDF sure does look very nice. Really like the way you square the unit up.
Excellent work, I really appreciate your attention to detail. I just found your channel and really liked this video. I look forward to watching more of your work.
You always inspire me with your combination of utility, precision, and style. I would stop at utility if not for your videos and I also am much more pleased with the results.
Hi Dennis, I am truly impressed with your precision of woodworking. I must up my game ! The tools that you have are superior, which definitely helps in getting a product that performs and looks good. I would expect this kind of accuracy to more for metalwork and machining! Not only does your projects perform but it very pleasing to look at. Your videos are easy to understand, editing is great. i am just starting out on my TH-cam channel but I better give it more care and attention as you certainly do. Keep up your great work and I look forward to viewing more of your projects
You are the best Dennis! Thank you for sharing your great skills with us. The black MDF gives it an elegant look, it’s too bad it’s so expensive here in the USA.
Enjoying all your videos. So inspiring and helpful too. One thing I'd love to see you talk about in future videos is more about your actual design process. You explain the end result of these designs very well, but not how you got to that point.
Thank you Dennis. Interesting thoughts on design, great practical examples of how to make. Inspirational. Now I want to work out how to apply squareness to my router table fence 😉
Fantastic as always, I have started building one to suit my drill press and have copied many of your ideas, always appreciate the time you take to explain why you do things the way you do. Tip / idea for anyone wanting to do the circular insert but does not have a ubeaut laser. I used 5inch male & female dust extraction fittings. I used a bit of hot glue to stick them down and then used a flush trim bit to trace around the inside of the female fitting (drill a hole to insert the router bit 1st) for the table hole and ran around the outside of the male fitting for the insert. Because the male / female are designed to fit very tightly this resulted in a good fit. Obviously could do the same with 4 inch or regular PVC depending on what you happen to have.
Ive been setting up my woodworking shop for about a year now. I wish I would have found your videos sooner. I have been building and remodeling houses since I was 16, 40years later I am finally setting up my shop. I have always wanted to have a shop just for wood working but life always got in the way. Installing walk in tubs took over my business years ago, not long ago I did an install for a retire gentleman that did woodworking, restored antique furniture and cars. I removed a large garden tub from his master bathroom and built a surround for around the walk in tub I installed. he watched me the entire 4 days i was there. we talked about so many different things. On the last day I was finishing up a few details and he told me watch me work was like watching his dad who he learned from. I took that as one of the biggest best compliments I have ever gotten looking at the quality of his work before I started. That really inspired me to get going on my shop. Seeing some of the things youve built makes me want to start over. I love the black mdf you use on you on your shop tables! Who makes it and where do you buy it? I have lots more questions and comments but Im going to watch alot more of your videos first. You do amazing work!
Hi Dennis! It IS a beautiful drill press table - without a question. However in this case, I stick with my golden rule "do not put too much effort in things like a drill press table or push-blocks". This is simply because the more effort you put into it. the more shy you are to drill a hole into it or to cut into it. So I prefer in general a simple piece of waste plywood. Regarding the subject with two rows of holes, I get your point. However you do not need the fence to be perpendicular to the movement, to have the two rows parallel, as you stated. For this purpose you only need to keep the angle exactly the same during the movement. I guess what you intended to say was, that if you want to have the two rows exactly parallel AND you want to start both rows at the same distance from the end with the same stop-block setting, THEN you need to have fence perpendicular to the movement. Thanks for the great videos! BTW the pocket hole jig, you recommended last time, arrived in the meantime and it really works well - if you get yourself an original Kreg drill bit. I found they have a desgn feature, that the Chinese drill bits obviously lack: The grooves that transport the dust normally have a cutting edge all the way up the drill bit. The Kreg pocket hole drill bit has these cutting edges only in the lower part. The upper part still has the transport grooves, but is completely cylindrical. This provides far better guidance in the holes of the jig, while it prevents the drill from wearing out the holes as well, which is good for long term stability of the jig. Best Regards Andreas
Everything you make and it is beautiful and functional. When you are able to combine both its perfect. I love your shop and how you match everything. I like you use my laser to make jigs and you know your dimensions are perfects. Love it
Hello Dennis, I love your videos! The type of presentation, the used materials, the precise way you work - everything is absolutely worth seeing and motivating! Please keep going!!! Veel groeten uit Duitsland
Hi Dennis, like you I don't see any point in just knocking something together when with just a little more thought and time you can make something that you are proud of and looks good, whether other people think so or not. I love the look of your table and will hopefully have a go at making one myself in the future, but the cast iron Plate on my current Drill Press is round not square. I'm sure I can adapt your plans to suit this somehow. I love the slower pace of your video and it shows how happy you are in your new workshop and so much space 😁 the sound quality is also very good now as well. I would have to move house to get a bigger workshop and at my time of life I don't really want to go through that again 😂 so I will persevere with my little workshop and try to make it as enjoyable and as efficient as yours. Take care and have a great weekend, look forward to your next video.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos - excellent video production values. Further, 😊 you’ve such a wonderful appreciation of aesthetics, even in the smallest details. Bravo🌱Allen
Dennis, I prefer this kind of video when you both explain your considerations, your thinking behind and give some tips & tricks. Thanks!

One of the best drill press tables I have seen. I do like your presentation methods. You’re a great inspiration to all. Please keep it up.
The groove under the drill plate was really creative 👍

What I love most about your work is the attention to detail. Just because it's for the shop doesn't mean it has to look basic. Gr8 work.
I love your attention to detail, and your attitude reminds me of the saying: “if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing well”. Many thanks.

That is a lesson in how to make something not only perform its task, but look fantastic too...very inspirational 👏
Nice design, and I really like the black MDF.
WOW! Kind Sir...as always, you have made yet another "GEM"...as you are. It's awesome. Thank you much, for what you share with us. in other words, when most think of it; YOU have forgotten it! WOW!
Useful design. It's feature packed, solid, accurate, adjustable and classy at the same time. 👍
Fantastic table. Your repeatability with stop blocks regardless of the distance from edge is awesome.
Thank you Dennis. I enjoyed every moment of this build video.

Wow Dennis how accurately and beautifully made. Chapeau. Always a pleasure seeing you put so many effort in making something extraordinary.
12:09 I found that the easiest way of cutting those weird angles is with a track saw. You can lay a sheet of wall insulation on top of your workbench to avoid damaging it.
Congratulations on the project, great stuff as usual 🤩
Yeah, you are probably right. Especially with a single cut
Great table build. I'll be replicating your design. Thank you!

Really appreciate the extended video and style, was cool seeing you working through the process! It looks amazing.
Denis we want a full video of shop furniture!!! very good looking!!!

Where woodwork and art overlap - beautiful - many thanks
Everything you build is 🔥
Great as always! I liked the pace of the video very much, it perfectly shows your attention to detail! Keep them coming! 😃👍
Wow. Absolutely fantastic.
Great work Denis, as always thanks for sharing. Now off the the shed I go to keep working on my mitres/drill press workbench.
Fantastic work, Dennis! 😃
Thanks for all the tips!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Awesome video and what a beautiful piece you made, great job

Very Nice work! Perfection! I've been following almost from the start and you made a lot of progress! Keep it up!
Very nice and accurate work. I like the black MDF with the Rubio finish. Very nice. Also want one now :-)
Great video and amazing detail, looks fantastic too
Enjoying all your videos. So inspiring and helpful too. One thing I'd love to see you talk about in future videos is more about your actual design process. You explain the end result of these designs very well, but not how you got to that point.
Thanks for taking the time to make the video and explain your choices. Your work always looks amazing and so accurate. Great work. Thanks :)
Thanks for this great video ! I think it was in great demand after people - myself included - saw your last one. 🙂 Wonderfully made.
Your work is lovely.
Thank you Dennis. I have been looking forward to this video. Great workmanship.
Thank you Dennis. Interesting thoughts on design, great practical examples of how to make. Inspirational. Now I want to work out how to apply squareness to my router table fence 😉
Awesome. Thanks for details. I might not make an identical table, but I love the ideas and techniques
Great tip
Ive been setting up my woodworking shop for about a year now. I wish I would have found your videos sooner. Installing walk in tubs took over my business years ago, not long ago I did an install for a retire gentleman that did woodworking, restored antique furniture and cars. FANTASTIC CRAFTSMANSHIP!
Beautiful product, sure wish Valchromat (Colored MDF) was more readily available in the U.S..
This provides far better guidance in the holes of the jig, while it prevents the drill from wearing out the holes as well, which is good for long term stability of the jig.

very nice work and explanation
like the style of this one
I like the longer form build video
Love your creativity. Love that black mdf. Shame I can’t find it anywhere here in Houston.
Hi Dennis, like you I don't see any point in just knocking something together when with just a little more thought and time you can make something that you are proud of and looks good, whether other people think so or not.

Nice work Dennis (as always). Much prefer the instructional videos. Keep them coming!
Very good video. I enjoy your method of introduction and pace. I have subscribed and will be watching/learning more. Thank you!
