Bike Test: 2021 GASGAS MC 125 Review

- Before you start typing “It’s a red KTM!!!” take a breath, and read the next few sentences. Yes, the MC 125 is very similar to the KTM 125 SX, but there are some parts that are unique to the GASGAS that do give the bike it’s own flavor on the track, and are also aimed at saving you a few bucks at the dealership. The forged triple clamp and “mellower” suspension settings offer more comfort for the average motocross rider. Plus, the swing arm is from the Husqvarna, and the subframe is the aluminum KTM piece. Performance wise, the engine and frame are shared with the orange bike and feel the same on the track. Great review Ping...everyone should own a 2-stroke 125/150. Whether you're racing in the 2-stroke championships or just dick-n around out on some trails they're a must have imo.

I'd buy Gas Gas over KTM or Husky.
It’s the cheaper version of the two but still a great bike
@@TreyMulder Yeah it's cheaper and still has all the important benefits of a KTM, i think this is going to sell very well

You do realize that GasGas was it's own independent company making there own bikes? KTM bought then and is going to kill the brand just like they did with Husaberg. KTM is ruining the sport.
Atleast ktm are putting effort into motox unlike suzuki

@@stupidmoto yeah it's a KTM / Husky / different plastics. Japan will be watching what happens with the sales end if they start getting equal share then it takes away 4stroke sales from them. Smart thinking Euro's targets the weekend riders. Put a set of black wheels on it and it will have killer looks.

Mx is so boring now. Not the races but THE BIKES. There is just nothing new. Guess i was spoiled growing up in the 70's. But hey everyone trains together so why not ride the same bikes just dif colours. :(
People still buy Suzuki’s they’re great bikes nobody at the local tracks ringing these bikes out. Brand loyalty. I’ll ride what I can afford 🤘🏻
I just bought a Gas Gas 125 it gets delivered on Tuesday.
This bike is a blast i have not rode in 29 years it was easy to handle that clutch is so easy to use.
How did you get it online? There is nothing at the dealerships near me.
I ordered it though Pandora Motorsports in Chattanooga TN.

@@radarist6908 It’s good for a beginner but it has a lot of power the air box hold it back a little but it has plenty of power.

Just found this Gas Gas 125 recently! I'm in the market for a 125 woods bike. My options yz125x and ktm 125xc. But than this came along and man it reminds me of a cr 125 lol mostly because of the colour but it looks amazing! Looks clean and sounds great!

I hear they made these bikes affordable unlike ktm an husky, 10,000 bucks here in pa for a ktm450 an a husky 125 is close to 8,000 after tax an prep? Anyone no what these gas gas bikes go for?

Do you think converting this bike to a woods bike would be pretty simple? I'm really liking the look of this bike! Also is the suspension really alot more simple to adjust on wp air forks?
I know it's late, but the wp air forks are very versatile. I ride a mix of mx and woods (2020 150sx) and I can change the suspension setup extremely easy depending on what I'm riding that weekend. I prefer my forks super soft in woods (like xr250 soft) and I can easily replicate that with them. Then if I run mx I can stiffen them up to handle hard landings quickly. I didn't like them at first but you really have to play with what feels good, rather than what the manual says. Recommend psi is like 150 ish if I remember correctly, I'm running like 110 on an mx track

The newer enduro 150s is really nice, a bit more easy to ride would recommend!

Black rims are played out and look like trash after they get some wear on them
