I have a 92 mim Fender Strat got it in 94 as my first guitar. I still have it. I always loved it. The ceramics in mine are like yours, they sound very good. You were talking about gold flaking, it probably is silver but after time thr clear coat on these guitars yellow which could be causing that gold look. My 92 is Lake Placid Blue now it looks more like a teal because the clear coat has yellowed so much. Theses mim strats are no joke. I also have a 2002 70's reissue with a natural swamp ash body, I love that one too. They hold up well over the years.
