So, the motivation behind this song is to tell us the story of Jimmy and Fred who made this song are in fact a homosexual couple and one of them saw the green light and one of them saw a red light with both the colors being symbolic of them looking at life differently and having conflicts and finally have to leave each other because of that. (as other lyrics in this song include: "everytime we meet") This was the last song they composed together and contributed to it's creation - if it was the very last thing they did together. And finally realizing the irony that they could in fact work together and create something so beautiful, they decided to stay and everybody lived happy ever after. THE END
