I came to know about Watchman Nee, my grand uncle through my paternal grandmother. I never met him, but I knew him as a fervent believer, a servant of the Lord and a faithful witness for the Gospel. his works and books are powerful testimony of his life and sacrifices for the Gospel. A great Christian to emulate.

Brother Nee knew his Lord and God as a real person and would not deny His existence or betray Christ's sacrifice. Nee utterly belonged to the Lord. When Nee left Taiwan to return to China, he knew he was putting his life in great danger, but it was all he wanted: to be a testimony to his countryman and the world that the Lord GOD is real. Our destiny is to meet God on His terms. That should give us pause.
Yes, the man wrote very Spirit filled books for edification of the church and went to lay down his life for God. In these last days we preach very strange message which was never taught. We preach glories of martyredom. Ily is strange because it was never taught enywhere. God told Peter about the death he was going to die to glorify God. Paul also knew that he was going to be killed and has come to the end of his ministry whe. He said “ I have run the race, I have kept the faith and finished the caurse”. He also said “ now I am about to be poured out like drink offering” The Lord also said do not fear who can only kill the flash. But fear the one who can pursue the Saul after death and punish it into hell fire.
A great contemporary of Nee was John Sung. God worked through him to help ignite the revival in China just prior to the Communist take over. There is an Autobiography of his.
