Most of the top 5 will probably be swept by Ash's rivals (Paul and Alain in particular) but I could see Zoey making a number 5 slot for being one of the better companion rivals. Bottom 5 would probably be more of the forgettable/last minute rivals, but i'm predicting Ursula and Burgundy being near the very bottom. I know Zac isn't a big fan of Harley either.

CHIMMYCHUNGAS funnily enough Mega Garchomp is generally considered weaker than regular Garchomp
She has changed it a bit though over the years. In Platinum her team was altered a bit and in Unova she has some new pokemon on her team including Braviary and Eelektross. Though I do have to say all the pokemon she has ever used fit her. Albeit Gastrodon is a bit of an outlier.
I feel like you should split unova into the originals and sequels. because several trainers in both would logically switching their teams around in the two year gap, such as cheren going from a rival with no specialty to a normal type gym leader. and for the sequel video you could give head canon teams to Hilbert and hilda if they showed up, kinda like how you gave Green a "Johto team"

What Hildas team should be: Emboar, Mandibuzz, Lilligant, Ghotitele( i don’t know how to spell it), Audino, Reshiram
What cherens team should be: Serperior, Liepard, Unpezant, Gigalith, Beheeyem, Druddigon
What Biancas team should be: Emboar, Stoutland, Musharna, Whimsicott, Jellicent, Mienchao.

When it comes to Unova I want Roxie to have a Toxtricity. Its a poison punk rock pokemon. Yeah its a gen 8 Mon but the anime indicates that roxie and her band perform concerts in other regions.

I feel like Empoleon matches Barry most (mostly because of the Anime and how I always chose Chimchar). I don’t know why they gave him Snorlax instead of Ambipom. Not only does it reflect his character way more but it’s a Sinnoh Pokemon that he gets the same exact way

@@warriorcharizard3404 It’s not weak. With technician boosted fake out and last resort as its only other move it can do some serious damage. Gameplay wise Snorlax is overrated. It’s slow and can easily be beaten by a stab close combat

For changes I like seeing, it's really just connecting the game teams with the show
For Unova, the 5th Gym Leaders and onwards should get 4 Pokemon, but I think the final Gym should have 5 Pokemon.
Also, the Elite Four members need an extra Pokemon for their initial battles.

Awesome video Zac, solid changes to Sinnoh's important trainers. Hopefully we'll get a remake soon. I will make sure to live my life to the fullest and you do the same and have a good one.
Since you covered Dawn as an NPC, I'll give the team that I envision Lucas having.
-Torterra (His starter in Adventures, and the only one that actually works since Dawn and Empoleon are practically synonymous with each other and Infernape and Barry go pretty well together)
-Staraptor (The quintessential Sinnoh Pokémon)
-Luxray (The other quintessential Sinnoh Pokémon, and one he used in the Diamond and Pearl Adventure manga)
-Alakazam (A powerful Pokémon in its own right, and another Diamond and Pearl Adventure member, albeit as a Kadabra)
-Gyarados (Fills the 'type weak to the starter' slot of the Sinnoh mold, plus it fits given that Lucas and Barry were initially motivated by what was implied to be the Red Gyarados event back in Gen II)
-Lucario (Do I even need to explain this? It's basically the mascot of Gen IV, you get it in a unique way in the games, and he used it in Diamond and Pearl Adventure)

MY thoughts in certain choices:
Roark, Gardenia, Maylene, Crasher Wake, Byron, & Candice: ...Huh...never thought of that...VERY good choices
Volkner: Ever since the anime, I can’t unsee Volkner having a Raichu to rival Flint’s Infernape
Mars: Good thinking. There was Also talk that she used an Electrivire to do that but Volkner has that already so...😅
Dahlia: That and well Porygon in the Kanto games can be obtained only via Game Corner so that can apply to the slot machine theme too
Barry & Dawn: Once again MANGA READERS REPRESENT!!! 😍Also Barry in the manga actually has Chimchar as his lab Starter😊
Stat Trainers: Almost forgot about them. Also VERY good choices when considering their Stat specialty
Ok Zac, here’s my revamped team for Alder again. I know I posted this on the Hoenn video, so I thought I’d go a bit deeper on why I chose this team and also give some alternate options:
1) Jellicent - perfect counter for Emboar (who’s arguably the most useful Unova starter) and a solid water type in its own right. Honourable mention goes to... I guess Basculin? Not too sure on an alternate water type.
2) Archeops - Gigalith is the HM here. While I do see Alder using one I just think Archeops fits better and it also covers an extra type. If you think Gigalith is better, you could give him a Braviary for a flying type.
3) Druddigon- since Iris / Drayden get Haxorus and Ghetsis has Hydreigon, that leaves Alder with the last Gen 5 dragon.
4) Scrafty - another solid Pokémon that I think fits Alder (I think cause of the hair...). HM goes to Mienshao but fighting type options are scarce since Marshall uses most of them. Same with the other elite 4 types - they use most of the best options so it’s either them and Alder have the same Pokémon or one of them has one that’s too weak for their position in the region.
5) Excadrill - the only major trainer to have this pokemon is Clay at the Driftveil gym (ie the 5th one), so let’s give it some more love. Plus it’s a really powerful attacker with a great typing so that helps!
6) Volcarona - my all time favourite pokemon and the ace of the team. He’s going nowhere.
Lastly before I wrap this (admittedly long winded) comment up, just a few more options that deviate from the types in this team:
Beartic- solid ice type that imo fits Alder better than Vanilluxe does
- Amoongus or Whimsicott - no major trainers use these mons and it would be cool to see a Champion have a support / setup mon.
- Heatmor - highlights a postgame mon that not many people notice much (they already have a team so they’ll likely catch one and move on)
- Hydreigon - sure, Ghetsis has one but if you really want to just say, ‘ah screw it’, go for it! Having he regional Pseudo will certainly buff up the team, and Alder is the Champion after all - I don’t think people will mind a challenging battle.
So yeah, hope this makes your job slightly easier and keep up the great work as always!
Btw I tried to keep this limited to just Unova Pokémon like the original Black and White games did. If you think there’s a good match outside of Unova Pokémon, or Pokémon added in B2W2, let me know what you think!

I think it’s super important that for the 1st Black & White that they keep only Unova Pokemon so i’m making these with that in mind. So uh here’s what I’d change their teams to
Gym Leaders
1st-4th Gym get 3 mons
Cilan- Cottonee(B)/Petilil(W), Snivy, Pansage
Cress- Tympole, Oshawott, Panpour
Chili- Litwick, Tepig, Pansear
Either of the 2 new pokemon could be replaced with the Lillipup they initially have
Lenora- Herdier, Deerling, Watchog
Burgh- Crustle, Whirlipede, Leavanny
Elesa- Elektrik, Emolga, Zebstrika
5th-8th Gym Leader 4 Mons
Clay-Krokorok, Palpitoad, Stunkfisk or Golett, Excadrill
Skyla- Swoobat, Archeops, Mandibuzz(B)/Braviary(W), Swanna
Brycen- There are only 3 Ice type lines in Unova so unfortunately he’s gonna have 2 of the same so i’d say his team should be Vanilluxe, 2x Cryogonal, Beartic
if you want a team with no repeats could have Vanillish & Vanilluxe as well.
Drayden/Iris- Fraxure, Druddigon, Zweilous, Haxorus
Evil Team “Team Plasma
Grunt Pokemon- Venipede, Whirlipede, Trubbish, Garbodor, Pawniard, Bisharp, Patrat, Watchog, Purrloin, Liepard, Sandile Krokorok, Scraggy, Scrafty, Deino, Zweilous.
N- I really like that his team consists of the wild pokemon that can be found in that area so nothing to change for those for his final team though that’s gonna be
Zekrom(B)/Reshiram(W), Zoroark, Darmanitan(B)/Galvantula(W), Klinklang, Gigalith, Sigilyph.
Darmanitan and Galvantula are so he can have a pokemon of the other dragons type
Ghetsis- Honestly in my opinion Ghetsis already has a pretty much perfect team with the Pokemon exclusive to Unova so i don’t really think any changes need to be made to his team.

Salamence, Drapion, Ariados (these three are must haves, there's no question that they are very loyal to her), Electivire, Houndoom, and Zoroark.

The only change I make for the Battle Frontier Brain is swapping out Dahlia's Dusknior with Medicham. That way her team can perfectly symbolize her dance.

Hey, I know it's not until after Unova, but when you do New Teams for Kalos, I have some suggestions for the Gym Leaders. Hope you see this and maybe think about it for the video (I'll also be trying to limit my picks on which Pokemon are in the Kalos Dex)
Viola: Surskit, Venipede, and Vivillon
(Since all Leaders have at least 3 Pokemon, I tried to find another cute bug type for her, and I think Venipede is cute in its own way and it be can tricky with poison)
Grant: Binacle, Amaura, and Tyrantrum
(Both fossils can stay, and I'm adding in Binacle, a Kalos Rock type not too far off from the Gym)
Korrina: Mienfoo, Pangoro, and Hawlucha
(Getting rid of the basic Machoke and replacing with a Kalos Mon. Also, Pangoro's Dark type can make it hard for Psychic/Ghost types)
Ramos: Victreebel, Trevenant, and Gogoat
(I evolved his Weepinbell, because if Erika can have one in the 4th gym, so can he. Also, replacing Jumpfluff with a Kalos Grass type, though replace it with Gourgeist if you think Trevenant is too mean for Ramos)
Clemont: Dedenne, Magneton, Heliolisk, and Luxray
(He should have Dedenne instead of Emolga because it's the Gen 6 Pikachu clone, and adding in Luxray because of the anime. I know Luxray isn't in the Kaloz Dex, but I know how much you like him so it gets a pass)
Valerie: Mr. Mime, Aromatisse, Florges, and Sylveon
(Mawile is weak without Mega, so it's out, and replaced with Gen 6 Fairies Valerie would find lovely)
Olympia: Male and Female Meowstic, Slowking, and Malamar
(The 2 Meowstics look different and have different moves, so I could justify it, also with anime. And Malamar because Kalos Psychic and it's cooler than Sigilyph)
Wulfric: Beartic, Mamoswine, Avalugg, and Mega Abomasnow
(I think Wulfric should have an aesthetic of using big, intimidating Ice types, and Mamoswine and Beartic fit him so much better than f*cking Cryogonal. Also, have his Abomasnow Mega Evolve to make it more of a challenge and be more like the anime.)

Swap out Cyrus's Bronzong for Magnezone. It's still a steel type evolved from the pokemon his underlings used, but a step further, since none of them have a Magnezone. You didn't give it to Byron or Volkner either, so no overlap there, and finally: in the Adventures manga, Cyrus is introduced by evolving his Magneton and Nosepass under Mt Coronet.

Personally I think Torterra fits Barry the most because I personally find Dawn the canon protag and the impatient and hyper Barry having a slow and easygoing pokemon is such a fitting contrast. Also Torterra typing defeats Rhyperior which is Palmer's ace. Missed opportunity for Cyrus to have a team of "inorganic" pokemon. A team of Probopass,Porygon-Z,Bronzong,Rotom and Magnezone fits Cyrus alot especially with his goal of wanting a world of no emotions.
I forgot the mention that the E4 should have atleast 1 pokemon that isn't of their type speciality. Flint definitely should have Cherrim because he has a Sun team going on.

Two problems with Galactic. 1. they all have Zubat except Cyrus and 2. you forgot Charon.
Here's the changes i would make (to the admins. Grunts are OK using it.)
Mars: Magmar, Magneton, Purugly.
Jupiter: Staraptor, Roserade, Skuntank.
Saturn: Electabuzz, Gastrodon, Toxicroak.
Charon: Rampardos, Bastiodon, Porygon-Z, Bronzong.
Although you never fight him, you really should've. So he gets the fossils and Porygon-Z to fit his scientist theming better, and he gets the Bronzong that the others did not.
Cyrus: Houndoom, Gyarados, Magnezone, Honchkrow, Weavile.
I just kept it to five, since Gyarados is tough enough. I added Magnezone, since grunts use Magnemite and it's a Sinnoh evolution, so he had to have it.
I love Cynthia, she´s one of my fave pokemon characters😸 I love it in the black white anime when it reveals she has a glaceon, since I´mm a very huge fan If the eeveelutions😸 Also, I can see Glaceon fots her since they both gives some type of elegance and calmness in person and battle😸
I honestly feel like Alder from gen 5 should be a bug type champion. Ik ik that Burgh is a bug type specialist, but Alder uses 3 bug types in his og match and Unova has a great selection of bug type pokemon
