It’s a Zirc instrument mat. It helps with organizing the instruments and prevents them rolling all over the tray!

Is this the same for periodontics set up?

A periodontal procedure will have different instruments. (The first 3 are always the same for any procedure: mirror, explorer, cotton pliers)

Do you have a specific perio procedure in mind? Surgical like a gingivectomy, or non surgical like a scaling and root planing (SRP)?
