Orange Princess is the must-have. Akebono in pale yellow is very beautiful. Salmon Impression (pink), Queen of the Night, Cummins (lavender, fringed), Columbus (fuchsia), Flaming Flag (white with purple flame), Super Parrot (green and white).
Your tulips are awesome! Also saw your comment on “Garden Answer” this morning in Laura’s recap! So glad to see an Iowan make it! You grow girl!!!🌹💐🌸🥀🌷
Looks amazing! Love seeing the progress over the three years your garden is a big inspiration! I have started thinking more about some repetition to after watching your recent videos. I also have started thinking more about layering? Having an upper a middle and front I used to just put things anywhere! But it's fun to work on garden design and learn more :)
My Akebono grew exactly as how you described yours growing. This was also my first time trying Akebono and I was very disappointed until...wow! I had to go back & apologize to the tulip 😂
Mine as well! Small to start off with (the bloom in bud form) but wow, stunner! I also grew Palmyra, a gorgeous deep red/burgundy double. Highly recommend that beauty.
Beautiful tulips, great info on all of them. When growing so many, how do you rotate your beds? I have been reading that you need 7 years in between planting in the same bed again?
Totally with you on the salmon impressions and queen of night. Both are STUNNING.

Ooh! I better watch that!!!
Love hearing, what worked for you, Christina! The parrot tulips stole my heart this year. In addition to them, I think Black Hero was my favorite.
😊🌷😊
Great information Christina, you have given me ideas for bulbs to grow next year, thank you!
Wish we could have seen more of your tulips. So beautiful!
Loved this!

I would love to hear about your favorite daffodils, I have heavy rabbit and deer population, and think I need to grow more daffodils than tulips
