What to expect: Ayuthaya

During our time in Bangkok, we visited the ancient city of Ayuthaya. This was an awesome day trip to the north of Bangkok where we got to experience so much history and got to see a lot of UNESCO heritage sites where there are really beautiful buildings and structures.
Getting to Ayuthaya was easy by taking a minivan from the terminal right across from the north bus station in Bangkok.
It's only about 1 hour and a half away depending on traffic, it's definitely worth your visit as it was easy to find what to do in Ayuthaya and different options to see the temples and old palaces.
