Your sandblasting idea is incredibly good. I have been thinking to find an easy way of doing it for a long time. When I saw your video I was gobsmacked.

Can you reuse the abrasive sand again that is collected in the vacuum?

How come no links to the pen blaster and what was the plastic box used for before you turned into a blasting cabinet? How much does the pen blaster cost USD?

Whats the point of using a vacuum with a hepa filter when you pour the aluminium oxide out of your plastic cannister when you finish blasting? As you know that stuff is very fine, and by doing what you did you have released it into the air and probably inhaled a lung full which has serious health issues....or were you wearing a mask?
Either way still pretty irresponisble to let that stuff fly about the air without taking proper precaution

First of all - Yes, you are right. You should use additionally a mask to prevent inhaling quartz dust. The abrasive itself is aluminum oxide 150 mesh which is not harmful - but it is not made for inhaling it too. The reason of this plastic box / 5l Canister is to prevent messing up your working area. It catches a lot of dust, but not 100% - maybe 70-80%. A lot of people are using a sandblasting gun without a cabinet and have the problem of messing up their premises, backyards or theirselfs with dust and abrasive. This little plastic canister and a vacuum cleaner is a nice tool to keep your working areas much "cleaner". This plastic Canister is not part of the pen-blaster, just an additional tool we are using.
