I have seen those dimples in the sleeve head and thought because women's fashion, now I know because not fitted.
The best be to have the actual measurements of the person and adjust the pattern to be sure the shoulders fit.

If the shoulder area of the jacket does not fit 99.9 % of women because it's too big. Why don't pattern companies fix that??

Teresa Wilson bcs is too many body types ..... For this exact reason ready made clothes never feet nice for boost and boot but beauty filly form bodies. ......forget look like Merlin Monroe with ready to wear clothes hahaha. I always have made clothes when I was small and I look on pictures from this time like million dolar ...i come to UK 12 years ago .... Lord clothing here are just perfect image of ppl who wear them .... I don't burly for ages anything what feet me fight as side leggins.

I do watch lot of TH-camrs sewers and here nothing nice about Simplicity ..and what you just say Mrs Jim is not first what I notice too and I am not a professional sewer but I work for short time in one of biggest manufacturers family own business in my town where I was born ( not in USA or UK but Europe ) and I learn so much in space of few moths that each time now when I go shopping I see all this " great clothes " as just pill of stuff from bad Chinese manufacture ....I make my new year resolution and I will learn how make clothing this year . I make pillowcases .Small bag for my daughter .few toys for friends kids .Water bottle terminal cover from Walt Disney old t shirt making scrapped quilt for my daughter room as well preper materials for floor mat for reading of cours for my daughter I try clone few clothing's and make pillows for my dog crib (old baby basket ) also after my daughter . I sew few laces on windows and next will be sewing room .........very rewarding .......I also change size of my leggins as I loos weight and have pill old clothes what need bit fixing up ticking and snipping ...... It make my brain relax and I have plenty of new ideas with I drew or just Wright down fast ...... its so rewarding see when somebody is happy from your work or you make something for yourself and cost you nothing bcs all is around your reach.
