I ran progressive dies in presses from 90 tons, 170 strokes per minute to 600 ton minster for 18 years, it was rewarding and I am proud of the work I did. We ran many different parts from simple to complex. Every Ford vehicle with a v6 engine til 2006 has parts I made. A great career (and I still have all my fingers!
Great video! I was in the trade for 16 years here in Chicago, and although I moved onto a better career, I miss the craftsmanship and the ingenuity required to make a die run well
Man I really miss running presses. This deserves so many more views and comments. That thump when the ram hits bottom! And you were smart enough to not cover the natural sound with stupid music :-)
Brings back a lot of memories. I built dozens if not hundreds of those 8'/12' prog dies back in the seventies, eighties and nineties. Now they make most of those overseas and leave the diemakers left here in the U.S. to build the very large size dies. The 16'-24' dies forced me out of the trade, by my choice, because things got too heavy for me and the handling equipment, not to mention the machine tool tables being overloaded. Seemed like a giant race to the bottom of the barrel!
The press needs to be running in tune with the deburring process. If we were to speed up the press we would overfill the deburring equipment. If we speed up the deburring equipment sharp edges will remain on the parts.

I ran presses like that for 8 years. Along with linear transfer presses.

Things went overseas for a long time but a lot of that work has started to come back home.

Looks like a control or electrical box for a appliance
Good guess, it a motor housing for a breast pump.
Very nice job
Id rather work on this, mine go ate 600 rpm, and have about 3 inches of clearance, just enough room to cram your hands inside.
whats the pay? you guys can go a little faster on the SPM. sensor on red wire?
Will the deburring process demage the product surface and make the product to easy get rusted?
The deburring process is set to a precise amount of time that allows sharp edges to be removed but the galvanized finish to remain intact.
hi how are you .would you please tell me the price of piece in us dollar
