    You can ride very well! Just ignore haters and just look at positive comments! Your a brave girl and you can ride the horse you want. If you fall down just stand up and don’t be mad or something like that! I hope you’re not falling that much down now and my best wishes of becoming a talented horse rider and person!❤❤

      @margauxnodvin7478 last time I checked its her trainer who says it's fine for her so she doesn't need you talking bad about her balance and she's good at jumping and she doesn't need your help and nobody has perfect balance and grand prix riders do the same they lose balance during show

    I had my first ever fall today: i was going to a jump then out of no where a truck did a very loud noise and i took the jump but then Luna (the horse) bucked and i fell off landed on my left side but then i remembered all the times Ivy has fallen, she never ever gives up. So i stayed on the ground for a bit then dusted my self off and got back on i only did trot cuz i was still a bit shocked 😅 Ivy has tought me that the number one rule of being an equestrian is… to never give up ❤❤

They literally lie on the horses neck with hands round the ears. falling off is pretty normal

    • @margauxnodvin7478
      @margauxnodvin7478 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Falling off THAT much is NOT normal! This little girl is losing her balance and falling off when the pony is just trotting or cantering a straight line. She should NOT be jumping! It is SO dangerous to be jumping when the rider doesn’t have the balance to stay on just doing flat work. She’s adorable, but whoever is allowing her to jump courses when she doesn’t have the strength or balance to stay on during basic flat work is VERY irresponsible! It is imperative that a rider be 100% solid in her flat work before being allowed to jump. This is just for the rider’s safety. I’m glad this girl is brave, but she needs to master her flat work before she has a really bad fall from jumping which results in serious injury 😢

    • @kimsutherland977
      @kimsutherland977 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@margauxnodvin7478 We tend to get on with it here in the UK. It's all very well sitting pretty and having that heels down stable lower leg that everyone strives for in the US...but how many pretty riders are truly competitive? Ivy is 7, and she comes on in leaps and bounds every single day. She has 4 cracking jumping ponies, all a little different and she manages just fine. In fact she wins her classes or places high every where she goes. She looks ahead to her next fence, holds her lines. She's a super talented rider for 7. Best way to learn is to get out there, and have a go. As she grows and her legs grow she'll get better and better. Meanwhile in my opinion... There's not a youngster better than her anywhere.

      @@jumpingwithivy "Ivy", Ron Turcotte was the jockey for both Riva Ridge and Secretariat, winning the Kentucky Derby in '72 and the Triple Crown in '73. Rode a lot of other famous horses over many years. He was pretty damned good - until July 13, 1978 when he fell from a horse during a race at Belmont Park and has been in a wheelchair ever since.
      So don't be so cocksure of yourself. You are no Ron Turcotte. By the Grace of God you are not in the condition he is in - but you could be tomorrow.

    I have been: Bitten in the stomach, Stepped On, Close-lined, Slammed into barns, Drug Off under Awenings, Slammed to the Ground, Bucked off, Had the breath knocked out of me jumping with a silver horned western shetland saddle on a large horse-the landing drove that home, been Kicked by the horse in front of mine because my 'gelding' got fresh with the little filly in front-he knew to duck exposing my leg to the kick-I had a dent in my shin forever (strong bones), flown over the top of a good cutting horse named Satan (my cousins and aunts thought that would be the suitable horse for me to ride in an annual cattle round up (boy could that horse stop on a dime and change direction and I did get to round a runaway cow back into the herd), I've been bucked by a fresh shetland stallion, bucked off by my horse, trained a large Palimino Stallion like ACE to lay down and let me grab his mane, throw a leg over and he'd stand back up with me on him. He could paw out how old he was, 2 then 3.. dance a little, answer questions with a head up & down for yes, shake it for no, take bows, prance, rear up, jump, etc.
    Luckily I never got my foot caught in a stirrup of a runaway horse; thats the only thing I EVER feared so I always made sure my feet were proper.
    And I just love horses and riding. I never blamed the horse, I just learned to 'Always be prepared for the unexpected....cause when they stop, you keep going".
    I was running my horse down a road, a full on hard gallop. All of a sudden my horse was 3 feet to the right of my bum. If i hadnt been firmly planted and 'in the ride with him', I would have been down on the road. A stupid 'butterfly' had flitted across the road ahead of him and he freaked out and jumped 3 feet to the right in a dead run. I moved right with him. Learn to be One with the horse. You're getting it. Read the ears.
    💕Lovin it. Ouches and all.

    This series is impossible to avoid. It it is everywhere and it is meant to be cute. But the way she jumps elsewhere, and now supported by these falls, is underlined by bad physics. She is too light and too short to survive anything that is a bit off. It has nothing to do with her bravery or hard work, she just does not have the physical combination of lenght and muscle power to stay on during irregular velocity of these motions. When the rest of the carefully edited videos show details of her jumping style, it is clear that she lets the reins to guide 0:59 her lift which she mastered to time. The horse must jump absolutely perfectly to cary her over, there is no room for a slight off. The lift is also secured by the steep wedging of her feet in the stirrups.
    Ivy will have to unlearn the bad jumping habits she has already acquired. Just because the physics of the lenght and weight will change over time.
