    I remember when you first released this video. I love all your Hanger swirls and colors, yet this is my favorite video. There's something so beautiful about the way the C/P and Glycerin soap play together and how the light plays with it. I never get tired of this video. Thank you...

    That's gorgeous and so sunshiny! And I have to post this: who is the one person who hits dislike on every soaper's channel??
    Every single channel, whether it be pro or amateur! Anyway, I've been wanting to try this with a blue bar, but I colored a clear MP once, and it didn't look very clear...is it the brand maybe?

    This soap is SO beautiful! I’m wondering about the order of pouring, it looks like you did white, pink then the melt and pour but the finished soaps look like it’s white then melt and pour with no pink. Is the melt and pour heavier and sinks to the bottom?

    I have combined MP &CP before but after the CP shrinks the MP sticks up and the soap does not look good, so did you do a water discount to combat that problem?

    • @HandmadeinFlorida
      @HandmadeinFlorida  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ellen Tieking Yes, I do a water discount, but you'll still notice some shrinkage during cure. You can also experiment with the low sweat mp and see if that helps.

  • @poetdehart9898

    Is the M&P heavier than the CP? I am a CP/HP Soaper venturing into M&P. This method looks like it would work beautifully for a cheesecake soap line I'm planning.

    • @HandmadeinFlorida
      @HandmadeinFlorida  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Vanessa! It mostly just makes it look pretty :) In terms of performance, the soap tends to have more of a bubbly lather with the addition of the mp.

    I tried this and it looks lovely BUT my m&p is sweating terribly.
    Regular m&p I'd just plastic wrap to keep from sweating, but as you know, wrapping CP while curing is a no no.
    How did you keep your m&p from sweating??

    • @HandmadeinFlorida

  • @courageous_soap
    @courageous_soap 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    LOVE this! I had always wondered if you could mix M&P and CP soap - one soap maker I had talked with said that you had to wait until CP soap was cured before combining them. Doesn't appear to be the case in your video.
    Question - does the bar "wear" differently because of the two different sorts of soap?

    • @dannihauler1947
      @dannihauler1947 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lisa Gillespie I didn't do the video but I have combined the 2 types a lot- the MP shrinks after awhile and drops out of the soap. It looks pretty while it lasts though. I tried the low sweat- it still melts quicker than the cp. Hope it helps.

    • @courageous_soap
      @courageous_soap 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Danni Hauler Thanks, Danni - I've been experimenting with adding CP embeds to MP soap and have found the same - looks really cool but the CP bits tend to dislodge after the MP wears down. Not due to shrinkage (since the CP is already cured) but I suspect because it's just two different sorts of soap.
      Always experimenting...
