But what about all these storles about people getting better through D&D? My friend Mike Hunt had a rare mental illness called Suggantheis through severe traumatic event but he's pretty much got over it after I DMed in a campaign for three years at Likomma. But then he lost his mind and took his life last year because of his 5 million dollars scammed. I am so grateful about this and all your community service you have been doing.
I just discovered your content from Morbillions of recommendations and I cannot describe how crazy you have put energy and resources to morb all these anti-scam schemes. Then that reminds me, I saw Gubayama the other day in Shibomnigee. He said to give you his best. I was a North American Fall Webworm in my past life. Those were the good old days...La-li-lu-le-lo! La-li-lu-le-lo!! La-li-lu-le-lo!!!

You got your chocolate in my peanut butter.
You got your politics in my RPG.
That's no reason to dump a game over politics.

It's sad to think that in the USA's people can't play games with you because their politics differ. . But in the USA we can agree to disagree and trust our process.

My main table has political arguments regularly and we have card carrying members of different parties in the group. I think the two main differences are - we are Australian, and we value each other. At the table we tend to catch these early and refocus, as much as possible moving these to our chat groups for later. My point is they happen and then they are over. Occasionally this becomes entertainment as something happens which one of us predicted and they relish the moment. This should be normal behaviour. Learn to take the piss out of each other.
Collectively when we then turn our eyes to the US we really don't understand what is in the water over there.

    Ya ok
I play with another person that we are polar opposites in politics but at the table we don’t discuss it.
    Crazy

I'm a gay man and the only liberal in my group. It's me, one of my Jiu Jitsu buddies, his wife, and another couple. Occasionally we'll be joined by my 76-year-old hubby who has Alzheimer's when he's having a good day. We always play at my place because we have a big dining room table.
Normally, we don't have issues. However, my one buddy who INSISTED we don't bring up politics CANNOT help himself. He HAS to complain about trannies every time he turns around. (By the way, I know trans people, and I NEVER hear about this stuff from Lefties. Only conservatives.) Now, I'm a liberal who despises wokeness, but I also despise how conservatives NEVER admit to the crazies in their midst.
Sometimes it feels like "don't bring up politics at the table" is just a way for some people to hobble others into doing something they themselves have ZERO intention of doing.

I make it clear up front on our campaign blog - no politics, no DEI, no WOKEness, None of that silly shit goes on at our table. We are here to play a TTRPG, we don't need any of the real world stupidity in our games. If someone wants to join our group, it's because they want to play the game. PERIOD!
