Practise makes perfect, my music teacher removed the transpose button 17 years ago, she didn’t want to see anyone using the button, that helped me to practise playing all the keys, you just have to give yourself a target from Monday to Friday you master at list 3 keys play them the way you do your best key you good at, you will eventually get there coz if you really want be on this stage playing for minister Dunsin you have to practise. My thoughts.😌
He knows they are on C and he simply turned a 3rd to a 5th and they are on A. I believe he knew they are on C before saying meet me on A. its also easy to go back to C from A
Yes, I understand.. but for him, he has practised it for a long-term. I believe every musician should be able to do that. For me, doing that will take time while singing. If you listened, there was not much time to process that.. it's what he has practised for a long time that is now part of him
Lol.....just knowing the theoretical knowledge is not the challenge........It's actually voicing it that's the main challenge...........If he was wrong in voicing the correct note it would have been a musical blunder.. So this not just a simple thing to do. If you don't believe try it😂😂😂
Dunsyn doesn’t actually have perfect pitch it’s relative pitch that he has, and a very strong one, cause he has worked on it, if you watch the previous concerts like outpouring he did not use to be like that,it was the instrumentalist first before him, so it shows the work put in!
First i respect you sir for trying to analyze this. I just stumbled on this. But what dunsin did here is both simple and technical. I play two instruments, sing and train singers alike and i focus more on Jazz, lots of jazz. 1) a very good singer shouldn't have one key and shouldn't sing on convenience only except for maybe singer who do alternate and falk music. If you are in any other form e.g gosple music then you must try to be master of all. 2) dunsin mainly played around relatives during this ministration. Relative minor and these is brought by the fact that he good a scants. He is a jazzist also. Therefore sound mastery is easy for him. He is masterd sound well Vowels and consonants sounds alike. 3). To be a very great singer please try to get familiar with sound well. At least the major vowels in sound. 4) you really dont necessarily need perfect pitch. This is just a created fancy name that is all . 5) for keyboardist, Nathaniel Bassey has said it, frank edwards has said it times ans times over. To be a real keyboardist you must master all keys. No excuse at all. Thanks
I get it. But I said I THINK he has perfect pitch. I also wrote RELATIVE PITCH after I said perfect pitch, meaning that perfect pitch might not be the cause. Thanks for your contribution
Yes, I know. I am just saying I think he has it. I know dunsin understands the relationship and intervals between keys very well.. but still, it takes a lot of practice. Like I said in the video, it's something I can do, but I would need to process that in my head, not something I can take immediately and I said may because I am not a singer. For Dunsin, I give it to him not all singers can still do that
@@e-chord I see what were saying but I thinking that was rehearsed, they all can't move perfectly like that. I have watched a Richard bona concert where he tried to do a movement and the team didn't move with him. But this one you talking about is too perfect. I could be wrong anyway.
I think you shoukd also watch John P kee... He does something like this alot, it has a lot to do with rehearsal (the band knew what was next) the moment he called them, they all went in like smooth. That was a smooth transition 👌
@user-se7fm8dx6o Yes, I understand your point.. But this particular one wasn't rehearsed, it happened on the stage, though that was not the first time he will do something like that on stage. But the meet me on A part was not rehearsed. According to the pianist "earnest" they did not expect something like that but because the musicians could communicate via talk back mic, the pianist was able to communicate the likely movement across to other guys and they all went to the key at the same time
@user-se7fm8dx6o Yes. I know they have been rehearsing together for a long time, so they know anything can happen on the stage and that's why I said the pianist or musicians should be jn the right spirit with the vocalist cos anything can happen on the stage
What is your thought about this 😂?
@FINfootballstudios360 Yeah, it is advisable for singers to learn one tonal instrument. It will go a long way to help them
This is not a big deal. They have rehearsed it, and these are his songs that he has been singing for years.
@harktvUK no. They didn't release it, also the song he sang when he first said meet me on A was originally sung on Ab
@@harktvUKIt was not rehearsed, his keyboardist confirmed it
No more TRANSPOSE. That transition was lit.
Yes bro

You can work on your relative pitch so we’ll that it will look like you have perfect pitch
Well, you're right.. He has practised over time
He has perfect pitch !, have you seen him play the bass guitar and calling the notes as he plays and switches keys ?
@@davidpetersenyt Oh! I remember those days when he used to do that on bass guitar
@@e-chord Exactly ! 🤍❤️

Yes, oo singers need to learn too, not musicians alone

Thank you for that. You know Dunsin's style when he was a full time musicians. Your points are well understood
Please, is he no longer a full-time musician?
@@theooreofeariyosound I don't think so..
❤
What are you saying?
You mean?
No Dunsin doesn’t have perfect pitch. That move was a product of rehearsal.
I get it. But I said I THINK he has perfect pitch. I also wrote RELATIVE PITCH after I said perfect pitch, meaning that perfect pitch might not be the cause.

You dont need perfect pitch not really. You simple need to know what sound is called.

In short and in summary pianist go and learn how to play on all keys!!!
Yes, one of the major issues we have with some of our pianists. It is and will keep getting better
I play on 5, and nothing beats the comfort and mastery of F#. So easy to run chords.
@NobleOsinachi it's great you play on 5 but you can do more and I also believe you can comfortably run those chords on other keys too
Sorry. That's a relative pitch sir.
Did you see where I wrote relative pitch in the video? I also said I think he has perfect pitch
@@e-chord you explained perfect pitch right in your statement. But Dunsin has relative pitch.

It's funny right? 😁
