This fancy piece was made by my husband when I wasn’t looking. Take a look at how he made it and the colours he used. I am so proud of him for stepping out and trying some new colours together and learning the swipe.
Here are the materials used:
● 16”x20” canvas
● Cell activator - 3 parts Australian floetrol & 1 part titanium white (Amsterdam)
All my paint is mixed 2:1 (floetrol to paint). I add water until it is at the right consistency.

Nice! Never heard of a Shuriken swipe. Does that refer to the curved sun-ray type swipes?

Can I ask are you using a blow torch - and what does that do? Thanks
Hi there! We do use a small butane torch to pop the air bubbles that arise from just mixing the paint. If left, they tend to pop after and leave holes.
