The problem is obvious and I can’t understand why people are missing it. The biggest mistake that Eubanks has made is the same mistake that Roy made and so did others like Leonard. Same thing that Canelo is suffering from. Yoyoing in weight has only one effect. The first thing to go when you go up and down in weight is punch resistance. Everyone who has ever done that has wound up knocked out or suffering from an inability to take a shot. Leonard ended up being knocked out by a pillow puncher in Camacho, when he had taken Hearns and Hagler’s best punches. However, he had gone all the way up to light-heavy and then came all the way back down to welterweight. Same with Roy. He ended up being knocked out by Johnson who wasn’t known as a puncher or even Tarver wasn’t a big puncher. Eubanks has been hit by all these shots by better and harder punchers than Liam. The difference is his punch resistance. Unfortunately Eubanks will never be the same like Roy and Leonard were never the same.
