the song sounds dark and depressing. Before I got the English patches I thought kuroji was one of those dark chars then I learnt they're just like me, desperate for money.
I mean, considering the "hinted" backstory of Kuroji, they're dark character. They're constantly feel the need to be superior, especially against Tsubakura who's talented as hell; everyone sees them as this "awful person", not unjustified, but given that they have at least some qualities that make them more human (such as caring about their younger siblings and Tsubakura), it's sad that their efforts are not acknowledged by anyone; their siblings are distant from eachother to the point that Hoojiro outright disregards them, even if she does care about them in the end (plus BPoHC dialogue suggests that this is their first time in a while being this close to eachother, but you can argue that they live separately given that they're implied to be adults); and on top of this their lack of ability made them even more miserable (being compared and such) and thanks to events of EE they actually felt somewhat free and things went downhill from there. They seem more "human" than the rest of the cast (at least they don't have any weird eating preferences) and it's even acknowledged in BotC, yet gradually, if their greed gets best of them, they will turn into a monster (or well yokai, it seems Mugenri isn't as strict about humans turning into yokai, at least no one said anything wrong about it) Everyone keeps comparing Kuroji to Sakuya/Seija, but in my opinion - they're Marisa if her inferiority complex was developed even further and brought to extremes
Kuroji is totally that season one villain who keeps showing up as an ally/unrelated victim of whatever going on. One sided rivalry, presumably had to rely on their siblings to do most of the physical combat (Though said siblings probably relied on Kuroji to think/beat things with more than just force), has experience dealing with monsters before mugenri and thus harbors a bit of a grudge, and my favorite part of the lore-accidental War hero, hates it.

the song feels more like you're fighting the Archaeologist Kuroji instead of the Money-Motivated Kuroji
