I thought the Thinner Path at Skull Island involved filling the Pumps with Thinner.

There are 3 ways to complete skull island:
1. Fill the pumps with paint - results in robot pirates returning to normal and pirates from ventureland returning to skull island/tortooga.
2. Fill the pumps with thinner - results in the robot pirates being destroyed and pirates from ventureland returning to skull island/tortooga.
3. Ignore the pumps - results in the robot pirates still existing and the pirates from ventureland are forced to stay here.
In the first two the pirates leave ventureland and the people that are afraid of them can return to ventureland.
One could argue that not letting them return, keeping the dangerous robots around and having the pirates stay in ventureland is the most 'thinner' path.
