You know, i am almost 65. Ive played piano since i was 9. I play guitar & sing too. I am recovering in a hospital from pneumonia & i took a walk to this room where the vending machines are? When i walked into this room the first thing i spotted immediately was a PIANO!! Omg!! I walked over, pulled out the bench and just started playing away for about 45 minutes! I had my little Service dog with me & she just sat down next to me. I was in my own world there, playing away & when i looked up, no One was around...as it was when i entered the room. I took a nice, deep breath, got up, got myself a little snack for later on in the day & went out with my ’Doodles!’ It was GRRREAT!!!! LOVED it!!! Best day ever...

I live in USA and I wish that some of the malls here had pianos so Terry to come over I love seeing and listen to him play.
When I was a kid, we always had a piano. I'm the oldest of six, my mother brought us up by herself. Times were sometimes very hard, we rarely had a tv. But most of us played piano at some skill level. My mum could read music and played virtually any tune as long as she had the music sheet to follow. The rest of us played by ear. My gran could play too. When I got married, my daughter had piano lessons, so I bought an electric piano, which she still has. She has kids of her own now. So I'm hoping they inherit the love of a piano. I love watching Terry, as it reminds me of the times when that was the only entertainment we had... the humble piano.

As a youngster in the 1940/50's I was brought up listening to Winifred Attwell, Charlie Kunz, Mrs Mills. Fantastic. Terry keep it going mate not many people out there can do what you're doing. Wish I paid more attention at the school music lessons!

Terry's videos are always great. Don't know what it is but whether he is playing solo, or with Brendan, or with daughter Elsie or his son, I just love the expertise on the piano. I've heard concert pianists on stage who couldn't play like Terry.

I noticed last week that they have a grand piano in the Main Entrance of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. If you ever pass the south side of Brum pop in. Boogie Woogie always puts a smile on peoples faces. Long may you continue to do it.

Interesting! I started playing in my dad’s band aged 14 too! And yes, it was the best grounding ever because you had to play in all styles! Waltzes, Foxtrots, Tango’s, Rock and Roll, etc! Love what Terry does! He also does a great Boogie Woogie DVD for anyone who wants to learn Boogie Woogie!

Hey Terry... I know Jo. It was a great interview and I loved your live version of Amazing Grace. Did you know that Dr John is among the other great artists to have played the BBC Radio London Piano.
