- I became a Junior account for an entire day in Rec Room and the truth may surprise you. They may not be able to hear people or talk, but they are NOT exempt from accessing and witnessing some questionable parts of the game. The life of a Junior account is not so innocent! Should Rec Room do more to protect the under age 13 users? Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are!
I personally think any RROs with whiteboards like Lounge should be disabled for juniors. I think the horror map category should be disabled for them and maybe some safeguarding against random purchases?

For a child’s account they’ve done amazingly, I mean maybe just add a friend request/ join from menu system but they can ONLY friend juniors would help
no they should block whiteboards
I think they should only be able to play with other juniors and not non juniors as the names and hand actions could be offensive and also like you saw the whiteboard the boards shouldn’t be able to see them the games not safe for them

Rec Room should crack down on people properly tagging their games for jr's, and probably allow people to communicate with quick chat at least
I think Juniors need to be in a separate server than the regular players.

See you've gone into exploring more of what a Jr can or cannot do than most of the other videos. The biggest difference is that you didn't do anything with the makerpen itself
I know, I did draw a bit in my dorm. I know you can't use it outside the dorm though. Otherwise isn't the maker pen the same (as far as functionality goes?)
One thing that rec room can do to make Junior's safer is just make it to where Junior's can't see anything on whiteboards
Something interesting is that the AJR experience has cussing in their songs and a junior account can hear all of the songs in there. And Rec Room made the room XD
As previously a junior, i can confirm i have seen a few "male hotdogs" and more. Definitely safer than my main platform, though.

Honestly anything with... "Phallic potential", like whiteboards, should be blanked out for juniors. Polaroids and menu images can be blanked out in photos, i wonder if it's possible for drawable surfaces? 😅

I have a friend in rec room who is below 13 but he is great at circuits and is generally a pretty good fellow and he’s not a junior

Recroom should probably hide all things juniors can't do, hide the marker and board, don't say you don't have voice chat because you're a junior, let text chat be allowed with heavy filtering
The less you can see that you're inhibited because you're on a junior account, the less the junior player may just make an account with a fake age.
There is another fnaf ignited game called Mangle that doesn’t allow jr accounts
I personally think other junior accounts should be able to use quick chat with each other aswell as normal players but they can only see quickchat

Only the quest standalone rec room cannot use junior accounts. PCVR is the only vr version to support it.
