One of the best remakes. Brings the game closer to the concept and promotional art while also looking how you remember it. Shame the Majoras Mask remake wasn’t up to the same standard.
Never played majora mask remake.. but what happen?
what's wrong with majora's mask's remake ? it looks just as excellent
@@marmite-land Some people don't like how it looks because it loses the "dark aesthetic" the original Majora's Mask had. Besides that, the remake makes some changes for the worse gameplay wise, like the speed and travel distance of jumping on water while being Deku Link or how it requires magic to swim fast as Zora Link.
I like the 3DS version but I strongly suggest you play it with the Project Restoration mod that fixes these problems and also include some quality of life changes (you can use it on real 3DS and Citra).
@@CritoBlue yes project restoration method if you can get it working on your 3DS is the way to go.
even with the less then ideal changes in the remake I still prefer if over the N64 it looks way better for a start and the good changes it did make it make it the better version for me.
hopeful one day we will another remake of Majoras Mask its a great game.
3DS cause of gyro aiming, master quest included, character models closely resemble ORIGINAL art work, faster text speed, more colorful, removed some glitches (bad ones mainly), 4 free item slots with the ocarina having its own slot not taking up space, no crowded top screen, easy navigating touch screen, portability, and some others I'm probably missing
The 3ds should have gotten more n64 remakes like goldeneye 64 3d would have been amazing
That would be awesome! Aside from the fact that the graphics would look amazing and the 3d aspect would be awesome, it's a handheld console and would be so fun playing with other friends. I wish they would start making more games and remakes for the 3ds. I still play my 3dsxl and it sucks that Nintendo is done with it.
And it could've used the circle pad pro lol
And banjo kazooie 3d
Wow. I had no idea it was improved this mech. From what I had heard it was just better models/textures. Seems like everything is improved.

Together they are!... THE POWERPUFF GIRLS!
i cannot believe anyone who prefers the look of the N64. The remake is just obviously miles better in every department
It's the nostaldia glasses
I don’t prefer the original, but I like the darker atmosphere of it.
@@tylerherdman1755 well, the thing is they're darker bc the textures weren't as detailed then and they had to sell the atmosphere because of the models in the textures
They don't have to do that as much in OoT3D
Also because the 3DS console family have smaller screens than what you'd play consoles on, so they need to pop more
You really think Impa looks better on the 3ds??.. crazy... lol
Texture quality, QoL, performance, controls, ... 3DS version hands down. In terms of atmosphere I prefer the N64 version though. The lightning, transparency effects and use of fog (more cause of technical limitations but looks good) gives it a dreamy atmosphere. The 3DS OoT seems kinda too 'clean'.
1:08 i had to read that twice 💀
N64 vs HD next?
The 3ds version looks too bright and colorful. From an artistic POV, for me the 3ds version looks worse. The OG game was ment to be darker.
The difference is day and night: much better models, in N64 look very triangular, much better textures, more detailed models and environment, things dont look blurry, better lighting effects, etc
This game needs the Metroid Prime Remastered treatment
Yeahh!!
Hundo percent agree. That or a full blown remake specifically made with new hardware in mind. That shit would fly off the shelves
I agree !
I dont like the yellow filter they added to the remaster. The rest is way better, but the character models could have been way better
for a 2011 and a portable game, it's more than fine I think.
1000000x better than original ngl
I dont know. Theres just something real charming about the original graphics. Maybe its the nostalgia talking but I love the OG graphic design.
Same 😂
No way you like the original graphics
@@JeffreyLor-ex9zr why is that hard to believe? Some people grew up in an era where graphics weren't the deciding factor on whether a game is good or not. I'd much rather prefer games from the 90s over the repeated heaps of unfinished messes that are released nowadays.
@@spartan343x2both time periods have their good and bad
Can you also play the 3ds version on a tv??????
Through emulation or a capture card
can emulate at 4k resolution and decide 2nd screen size and placement
They both kind of suck because they're both running through emulators right? Or if I'm wrong can you explain what is better and why?
Does anybody know if the Nin-switch has this game on the 3DS expansion pack for the switch? If so is it still better than on the 64 expansion pack for the switch?
7:15 **spin**
n64 has a darker tone while 3ds is more vibrant, though i like both of them 👍
Honestly, the 3ds remake makes the original n64 version look obsolete.
The N64 version were more than mind blowing back then. BUT that castle town market part were absolutely awful even back then. What went wrong? But it's pretty unreal that it were on a 16MB cartridge. While Breath of Wild and Tears of Kingdom is on +10000MB. If you told to someone in 1998 that there will be console games without FMV's being over 10GB big in the future, none had believed in you, then and now we have games on +100GB...
Looks of N64 character as Zelda and Link are much better.
are you trying to say those look better in the original?
Anybody else prefer the original N64 version?
No one
No, but it has a better atmosphere
I do, only for the og version with the og gerudo symbol and og fire temple theme.
Com certeza o original é melhor na minha opinião. O corpo do link está desproporcional no 3ds. Cores exageradamente saturadas e a movimentação do link está estranha no 3ds. Não sei porque fizeram assim. Ainda existirá um remake digno.
I do, for the art direction.
I prefer the original’s atmosphere as the game feels a lot darker and grittier but I do really love the remake for basically everything else. I love both versions.
Remake is better cause 3d. No one says that
The 3DS Remake deserves a Switch port more than any other Zelda game!! Also MM, TP and WW please! Thanks, Nintendo ;)
