Back in 1963-1964 when I was in junior high, I used to stay up and watch The Steve Allen Show, late at night. Louis Nye was one of my favorites, and his"Hi Ho Steverino" greeting to Steve Allen, was his trademark. Louis Nye would say/do something and Steve Allen would start cracking up and could not start laughing.!!!
Finally. Nye was impeccably nuts. He and the rest of Steverino's regulars all merit study.
I certainly have a notion to second THAT emotion !!
Steve's regulars - Don Knotts, Pat Harrington Jr., Tom Poston, Bill Dana, Gabe Dell and Dayton Allen - were great.
He made me laugh at age 6 or so. And still does.
I just seen his weeping cabbie on the jack Benny program yesterday morning on the weekday morning lineup.he was so unsung as a comic character actor. but there was so many from his era of comedians, comic actors, entertainers, etc.
the weeping cabbie is Mel Blanc
Another great video. What a character Louis was.
I heartily concur !!
Louis Nye is sung. He's always been sung.
Keith Thibodeaux, who played Little Ricky on "I Love Lucy", said Lucille Ball had the best cry this side of Stan Laurel. Maybe so, but I think Louis Nye gave her a pretty good run for her money in that area!
I agree 100 per cent !!
He was so talented.
deleted from TH-cam was a beatnik band skit (repeating?) from The Steve Allen Show I believe "The Unidentified Flying Objects" with Tom Poston as interviewer, Steve on Tuba, Pat Harringon with Lawrence Welk accent and Louie playing ice-tongs - - LMAO with Louie's moves and expressions/ (Harrinton was great too)
It's Zombo!!! 😆😆
Well I’ll get straight to the point: do you think you are a good person? You might have thought about it before, or you might have not. But your answer is probably yes. Now the rest of this might get personal, but remember, I can’t see-or hear you reading this, so don’t worry. Now let’s have a look at the Ten Commandments. You don’t have to believe in the Bible to take this quiz:
Have you ever stolen something? Yes no
Have you ever looked with lust? Yes no
Have you ever used the Lord/Jesus/Christ/God’s Name as a swear word? Yes no
Have you ever told a lie? Yes no
You probably answered Yes to, at least, two of those. There are six more. A bit of math would tell you that (10 divided by 2 =5) , out of the Ten Commandments, on average you probably answered Yes to five of them. Do you still think you are a good person? Now I’m doing this because I care about you. You could die at any moment. Your heart may stop right now. And I’d like to see all of you in Heaven. I don’t want you to go to…to...to...to…what was it again? Was it perhaps hell? We have all sinned. Nobody is perfect or worthy in God’s sight. In fact, the only way our sins could be forgiven, was if we offered sacrifices practically every day. We all sin every day. We look with lust, we lie, we blaspheme, we swear and we steal without giving it a second thought. Imagine all those sin and guilt offerings we would have to offer… but we don’t have to. Because God sent His one and only Son Jesus, to die for us on the cross as THE sin offering so that whoever BELIEVES in Him will be forgiven and have eternal life. He took all the sins that will ever be on Himself. He paid the price; i.e. He’s the Person who paid the fine for the stack of offences on the Judges(God’s) desk, so He could let you go. That is how great His Love and Mercy for you is. He has no reason to spare you, apart from His abounding Love and Mercy. You just have to accept His forgiveness, repent, get baptised and turn to Him. You have been warned. Do not reject Him.

Ps: your life-span on this earth is nothing compared to eternity. Just remember that. Is your soul safe…?
PPS: Let the Lord sanctify you. And read a Bible at least once a day, even if it’s just one chapter.
That's all very interesting. But what does it have to do with the late great comedic actor Louis Nye ??
@@jubalcalif9100 Nothing. I dunno, maybe something, I don't know anything about this guy.
It's about something way more important.
Not one iota.@@jubalcalif9100
@thefascinatedchristian3799 I read all the way to the end, expecting a terrific punchline to your shaggy dog story. Well, I wasn't disappointed. It seems I'm scheduled to burn. And that's the Good News.
