Still with Tesla stock, investors can never be sure what will happen next, bearish periods ultimately establish a new set of stocks to buy and watch while setting the stage for a robust new uptrend. I have been reading articles of people that grossed profits up to $250k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?

While there’s more pain to come, investors should look for stocks like Royal Philips NV and Alstom SA that have been beaten down enough that they’re a bargain or get a good portflio manager.

I agree, I've been in constant touch with a Financial Analyst for approximately 8 months. You know, these days it's really easy to buy into trending stocks, but the task is determining when to sell or hold. That's where my manager comes in, to help me with entry and exit points , I've accrued over $550k from an initially stagnant reserve of $150K all within 14months

Retail is starting to sell off their holdings, which is usually an indicator that the market is bottoming since retail traditionally pulls their money last compared to funds, banks, etc. (Not that I think the market is bottoming for many reasons). However, since retail is finally starting to sell off and a greater percentage of Tesla is owned by retail compared to most stocks it could be a reason why we’re seeing a bit of a drop off in Tesla.

    • @Simon...........
      @Simon........... ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. Tesla and apple.
They need to break down their pandemic gains to see a bottom.
They are also among the largest cap of the S&P. So they will be the last two fall in any market capitulation. Further drops ahead

I don’t see any reason to sell Tesla anytime in the next decade. Sell everything else first imo. With government pushing the transition to EVs teslas car business will not have a decrease in demand at anytime in the near future. Add on the other things they are working on and I still think this is a goldmine stock.

The $9k increase in price from last year for the Model Y alone is enough to kill demand. I got lucky and locked in my Model Y long range with 20" rims at $57K. That same car today is 66K. My friends ask if i recommend a Tesla, I say not at these prices. For almost a 70k car i would go for like a Mercedes or BMW SUV that have a lot more luxury features. Tesla needs to keep its most popular car under $60k, especially now that all car prices are beginning to dip.

My main worry is that what if it's trendy to buy a Tesla? They can scale production 50% year after year no doubt, but I'm just not sure they'll be able to find 50% more potential Tesla owners each year for the next 5-10 years. What if we're just a couple years out from peak Tesla interest?? No car company has every scaled a single model of vehicle past 2 million units a year. And that record was set by the Model T when Ford basically invented the car. That's why I have my doubts about them taking the model 3 and Y past 5 mill.

    • @aac74

Also quality is not improving and the number of competitors in every segment and at every price point is exploding. If you want to see the future look at Norway (the most mature EV market), VW/Audi has overtaken Tesla this Summer and since 2018 they have been equal with Tesla. So how does Tesla justify a P/E of 90 if it will only sell like other car companies? Virtical integration isn't working, robo taxis are not working and now a TeslaBot? Will that be working in 10 years? They want to do blue sky R&D like Xerox or Honda but without any profits?

Kevin's right. in Europe (Ger) they deliver cars only in the last month of the quarter (sept for Q3) as most cars come from China on a ship. Recently Berlin started making model Ys. so they need to find a lot of transport from ports around Europe to delivery centers. so it's hard to find transport only for a month out of 3. my car was supposed to be delivered on sept 21 and they could not ship it from the port. it took them another week to get it in. that was close for them and for me

Possibly the stretchy-ist stretch I’ve ever heard Kevin use to compare his startup. Tesla and Kevin both use the same browser standard radio buttons 😂😂 and somehow that means something. There are websites from the 1980’s with the same buttons, does that mean they’re doing similar work to Tesla? 😂😂

Any analysis of sales or demand has to factor in China sales. Even though there are a lot of EV companies in China still they are a huge market with1.4 billion people. It could be economic slowdowns and covid shutdowns could have affected sales in China.

So, this is what Tesla had said regarding about not being able to deliver each vehicle they had produced for Q3 2022. “As our production volumes continue to grow, it is becoming increasingly challenging to secure vehicle transportation capacity and at a reasonable cost during these peak logistics weeks”. I’d like to hear some of your thoughts about these numbers. I want to compare numbers from the 10Q filed for Q1 2022 and my projected numbers of Q3 2022.
    (Q1 2022) - 310,048 vehicles delivered.
    Revenue
    Total automotive revenues: 16,861,000,000
    Cost
Total automotive cost of revenues: 11,322,000,000
    Selling, general, and administrative: 992,000,000
    Income from operations: 4,547,000,000
    Margin: 27%
    (Projected Q3 2022) - 343,830 vehicles delivered
    Revenue
    Total automotive revenues: 18,698,128,677
    Cost
Total automotive cost of revenues: 12,555,614,808
    Selling, general, and administrative: 1,100,256,000
    Income from operations: 5,042,257,868
    Margin: 27%

We expected a temporary drop in purchases this year already due to 1) Waiting for the tax credit in 2023, and 2)the recent higher prices Tesla is charging to purchase the car and FSD to slow demand on purpose to catch up on deliveries ….it will likely rebound swiftly 2023

In my opinion it is not strange that Tesla produced more than it delivered in Q2 durimg covid shutdowns. Closed loop manufacturing enabled production but outside society couldn’t take delivery.. Durimg Q3 Tesla raised prices to lower wait times and further chose to deliver cars abroad etc. to spread deliveries due to high transportation costs related to congestion. This will lead to manu cars in transit at end of quarter hence the gap in production vs delivery.
