I've had this song in my head since about the time this vid was recorded. Heard it on the radio (the studio recording), probably in Portland, where I grew up, but before I moved to the Oregon coast, in late summer '74. In my mind I always associated it with Alice Stuart, who got airplay back then on progressive FM stations, but did not know for sure (I'm 76, and memory plays tricks - lol). But it popped into my head again the other day, so using the ~magick~ of the internet, here I am, and it's all I remember, and more. Dang, she was good! Never got to see her live, sadly. Her timing and phrasing are spot-on, and she could really play that axe. Have this in my bookmarks, now. Thanks do much for posting. Sad loss to humanity at her passing.
I have her 2 Fantasy records in vinyl . . . Someone played this song for me and asked me "What do you think this woman looks like?" I said, "Dolly Parton?" Then he showed me the Believing album. I ran out and bought it. Love her. Good-bye, Alice. Been good to know ya. 💔
Alice is a legend! Rest in peace.

Only 947 views and no comments? All I can say is Damn, that's a beautiful rendition of a Hank Snow classic.
She was SO good!
I had this vinyl in the 70s and got a CD later. Love this song and named my Raleigh after it.
Great taste in music and in cars!
