Making them RWD seems like a game changer. Much more controlled launches and probably a ton of less stress on the trans and clutches.

At last, a 6-second Lambo.... So many years after the first 6-second GT-R....
I don’t recall there being a lot of lambos aiming for 1/4 mile records compared to how many gtrs there are lol, probably less lambos when you consider how many of them don’t want to take that risk. Everybody was doing standing mile or half mile events so of course it was going to take a while 😆.
There isn’t much twin turbo lambos compared to gtrs
Also, the GTR came to the us in 08/09 and the Huracan came in 14/15. So, the GTR had a 5 year head start. A lot goes into this on the development side.
exactly, this isnt impressive especially with a 200k car. that lambo would get dusted in a real competition.

Lambos just now getting into the 6s with 2000+hp builds for years...
Not enough customers chasing 1/4mi records rather than 1/2mi top speed records. All of the UGR cars are generally built for roll racing or high speed. The 1/4mi record they previously held was with a full weight car built for the 1/2mi

This is on gas my guy. All those cars you see use nitromethane. If these cars were adapted to nitromethane, they would eat any of those cars. Plus nitromethane cars only last three passes or less.

Interesting that there is a 250 launch limit from Lamborghini. How is this resolved?
Not surprising, many manufacturers do the same. Porsche is an exception i believe. It can be fixed by simply changing the number in the ECU.

@MyloSweet highly unlikely. They just need a customer to agree to take out the extra weight like AMS did on this Huracan. All of the UGR record are on full street trim cars. The record will most likely be broken by the beginning of Summer 2024 at the latest. UGR definitely has the power advantage, so it's only a matter of time and clientele caring enough to chase 1/4mi times rather than 1/2mi speed records. AMS got a customer that wanted the 1/4mi record enough to pay the cost to get it. Congrats to him.
@@jtherealtor your ignorance is showing. On the 7.04 pass the car weighed 3965 with me in it. We ADDED another 25 LBS of ballast for the 6 second pass….
The only reason some panels on the car were removed was to accommodate safety equipment. The missing panels saved us a whopping 28 LBS…. That weight “savings” was more than offset by the cage and fire suppression system.
Now go google what a stock Huracan weighs…. Hint; it’s less than Omega.

That’s why the R8s are so much heavier, because they claim Din weight and they don’t cheat on weight. Yeah the lambos are also lighter than the R8s if you take the real weight but not by as much as they claim

You are about 1K lbs off, the car was 3965 on the scales for the 7.04 pass. 25 LBS of ballast was ADDED for the 6.9 pass.🙂
Not to be a hater or anything, but you'd think that with a built DCT, 2800hp, and the car being light that it'd go faster. But cars like Red Demon has been going 6's for a bit already with nearly half the HP (they are now 2200AWHP) and being a H-Pattern Manual. Idk just my 2 cents

How many Hondas have been working on breaking those records compared to lambos? Those guys are literally chopping their cars apart to get them lighter and the lambo guys were trying to play it safe with rolling events since lambos aren’t exactly cheap😂. This car is an example of what happens when you just don’t give a fuck and actually push.
