I definitely need to work on doing gestures and this has been very helpful. Much appreciated and Happy Holidays and looking forward to your channel in 2025!
im glad i found you, I use to do this scribble method(innately) but some where along the way someone expressed (in a video on youtube) that it was wrong, and then I stopped doing it and the ability kinda went away.
There is no right or wrong way to draw or create art. There's also no right or wrong way to do gesture sketching. If the scribbly gesturing works for you, then you should go with it, try to stay loose and fast, and you'll do great. I also recommend the Sketch Daily References website for practice. All the best. Happy New Year!🙂
@@BradleyOh_Art this was over 7 years ago, I was "lead to believe it was wrong " by certain online resources but thank you and i will try that resource you left, happy new year.
Totally feel that xD As the creator said: there is no right or wrong way. At least as long as you keep the fundamentals in mind. May sound silly. But a “f@#“k it“ mentallity actually helps (its your way as artist. Not theirs. So dont care which ways they go and take yours).
I actually tried sketchdaily out last night. The gestures at 2 minutes came out shit but the five minutes ones... came out slightly less shit. Ironically most of the ones I got were women hanging off of cloth and the like. Not bad, but I was thinking they'd have more... beginner friendly poses? Some of them I have no idea how you'd do in 30 seconds, even in a gestural sense.
Always underrated creators teach something great 👍 💝
Wow! Thank you! 😃

Happy New Year again, I hope I see you around here in 2025. All the best!😃

That's awesome! I'm so glad you tried it out. Keep going, and just skip the more difficult poses.
Your figure drawing will improve so much.
